CLOTHING AND ALLOWANCES. Clothing The Employer agrees to furnish and maintain the following clothing and personal protection equipment (PPE) when appropriate for the position: Street Maintenance Employees - A list of clothing provided to Street Maintenance employees includes: Reflective winter coat (1 coat every two years) Orange t-shirts three shirts per year) Safety colored hats two per year) and Safety/reflective vests Upon request will supply the following equipment: leather gloves, rain gear, goggles, face xxxxxxx, ear muffs, hip waders and rubber boots. Employees shall be responsible to wear appropriate and proper footwear and other clothing and equipment to safely perform their job duties. Clothing allowance is for employee use only. The Streets Maintenance Employees, FT Traffic Services, and Seasonal Traffic Services sections shall receive a clothing allowance increase to the following rates: Section 07/01/2023 07/01/2024 07/01/2025 07/01/2026 $350 $350 $375 $375 Traffic Services – $425 $450 $450 Traffic Services – $350 $375 $375 Any clothing or PPE purchased by the employee shall be approved by the direct Supervisor. Each employee shall submit clothing allowance claims to the City with appropriate receipts indicating that the money for which they are seeking reimbursement is approved for clothing purchases. Cell Phone The Employer agrees to reimburse employees $45.00 per month during the term of this Agreement for employees' use of personal cell phones for work related purposes. Employees agreeing to receive a cell phone reimbursement shall be required to install and use apps to obtain city information, communicate with City staff, and be connected in the event of an emergency. Alternatively, the City shall issue a City-owned cell phone, protective case, and screen protector for the duration of the cell phone carrier’s agreement (minimum 2 years as of 7/2023). Employees who wish to move from the monthly stipend to a City-owned cell phone shall notify the Business Operations Manager fourteen (14) days in advance. CLOTHING AND ALLOWANCES. The Employer agrees to furnish and maintain the following clothing items: Fleet Maintenance Department: The City will provide Employees with safety vests and five (5) pair of coveralls or five (5) uniforms as needed for each mechanic. City will provide one reflective winter coat every two years if necessary to replace. Fleet Maintenance mechanics shall individually have an option each year prior to when orders are placed to select either coveralls or uniforms from a uniform and/or cleaning service provider selected by the City. Fleet Maintenance employees will receive clothing allowances of $300.00 for FY24 plus an additional $15.00 each successive year of the agreement. Reimbursements by appropriate receipt. The City will have cutting goggles available for the workers and provide welding gloves to each employee when necessary for work performance. The City will provide up to a maximum of$400.00 every two years (odd- numbered calendar years) for prescription safety glasses in Fleet Maintenance, as well as $200.00 every two years (even-numbered calendar years) for prescription glass lenses contingent on division head approval. Reimbursements for clothing shall be paid in the same or following pay period that receipts were submitted. This section shall not apply to an Employee who is on travel status which entitles him/her to claim for lodging and/or meals.

  • Protective Clothing and Equipment The Employer recognizes the safety concerns of all staff and shall provide all employees whose work requires them to wear protective equipment with the necessary equipment and protective clothing. This committee may make recommendations on such equipment (e.g., gloves, long sleeved gowns, masks, goggles). These shall be maintained and replaced, where necessary, at the Employer's expense. Where the committee recommends the wearing of such protective clothing and equipment, and the Employer implements such recommendation, employees are obligated to comply with such recommendation(s).

  • Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment The Government considers operators as fireline personnel who will use and wear specified articles of personal protective equipment.
