Close Contact a close contact is defined as any individual who was within six (6) feet of an infected person for a cumulative fifteen (15) minutes within a 24-hour period or more starting from two (2) days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, two (2) days prior to positive specimen collection) until the time the patient is isolated.
Close Contact. The CDC defines close contact as being within six feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (for example, three individual five-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes). An infected person can transmit COVID-19 48 hours prior to the onset of symptoms.
Close Contact a. Generally, a close contact is someone who was within six feet of a person with COVID-19 for at least 15 cumulative minutes over a 24-hour period during the period of time when the person with COVID-19 was infectious.
Close Contact. Close contact: As defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) and for purposes of this MOU, for COVID-19, a close contact is anyone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes starting from 48 hours before the person began feeling sick until the time the patient was isolated.
Close Contact being within 6 feet of a positive COVID-19 tested person for not less than 15 consecutive minutes with or without a mask while the person was infectious or having direct contact with infectious secretions of a COVID-19 case (e.g., being coughed on) while not wearing recommended personal equipment.

  • Break Time For daily work assignments of six or more hours, permanent and probationary employees (except bus drivers and bus aides) shall be entitled to one 15-minute break for each half of the work assignment.
