Classroom Aides. If the district employs instructional aides, they will be assigned by the administration. (Rev. 9-2007)
Classroom Aides. 22.2.1 When an unsatisfactory working relationship can be demonstrated to exist between the unit member and an aide, the unit member may request of his/her administrator that the aide be evaluated and, if necessary, reassigned or removed.
Classroom Aides. 4 11.1.1 Unit members shall have the right to an informal interview of prospective classroom aides 5 prior to assignment. No instructional or clerical classroom aide shall be assigned to a unit 6 member without his or her input. The classroom-related work of instructional and clerical 7 aides shall be under the direction of the unit member to which they are assigned. Evaluations 8 shall be conducted by the administration with direct input from the classroom teacher.
Classroom Aides. A bargaining unit member assigned to a classroom aide position, and has completed his/her probationary period as provided in Article 19, Seniority, Section 19.2, probationary employees.
Classroom Aides. The administration and Board of Education recognize that in certain situations there may develop a need for a teacher aide. A teacher may present a concern to the Board through the administration.
Classroom Aides. The work year for classroom instructional aides shall consist of 180 days which shall coincide with the 180 pupil attendance days. Aides may be asked to work up to 4 days of Professional Development at their per diem rate and will be given at least 15 working days notice.
Classroom Aides. Whenever feasible, a unit member shall be involved in the selection process of a classroom aide to be assigned to them. Within legal restraints, each unit member shall mutually establish responsibilities with their assigned instructional aides.
Classroom Aides. Any elementary grade level classroom teacher assigned twenty-seven (27) or more students or demonstrates a sufficient need, may be provided an aide upon written request and presentation to the Board of Education. If a teacher agrees per administrative request to be an aide during their planning period they will be compensated at $15 per hour.
Classroom Aides. 18.5.1 Unit members, to be selected by the site administrator, shall be involved in the interviewing process for prospective classroom aides.
Classroom Aides. 15.7.1 While in the classroom, the work or classroom aides shall be under the control and direct supervision of the teacher in the classroom.
