Class Scheduling. The Administration shall schedule classes to meet the needs of the students. The Administration shall develop a class schedule to include a sufficient number of courses to fulfill full- time faculty contractual loads and shall coordinate the scheduling of faculty members' classes district-wide.

Class Scheduling. The University is responsible for developing the course schedule for each academic term. Once the department or college has established a tentative class schedule, faculty shall be notified of their course assignments so that they may discuss them with the department chair prior to submitting the schedule to the University for publication. Though the University may consider faculty member’s scheduling preferences, final determination of teaching assignments and schedules shall be made by the University.

Class Scheduling. The principal shall seek the input of the teacher(s) before preparing class schedule and assignments. Each bargaining unit employee will be entitled to designate in writing before semester assignments are made one (1) assignment free evening per week for that semester. An employee shall not be required without his or her permission to teach in any one evening a class involving more than five (5) contact hours commencing after 5 p.m. Subject to the limitations below, a bargaining unit employee may not, without his or her permission, be initially assigned to teach an off-campus session of a class if a different session of that class is being taught on campus by a part-time non-bargaining unit employee during hours when the bargaining unit employee could be scheduled to teach same. The preceding sentence shall not apply, however, to the Employer’s right to assign up to ten faculty members, per semester, to off campus sites. However, each faculty member may be assigned only once during any three year period, without his or her permission. It is understood that the foregoing shall not preclude reassignment of a bargaining unit employee whose on-campus class has been cancelled to teach an off- campus session of that class which otherwise would have been taught by a part-time non-bargaining unit employee. Class Scheduling. Members are encouraged to schedule classes during non-regular work hours. Hours in classes attended during non-regular work hours shall not be counted as hours worked or credited toward compensatory time or leave. Attendance of a class during regular work hours requires the prior approval of the Chief of Police and City Manager. Hours in classes during regular work hours shall be counted as hours worked.
Class Scheduling. Each high school teacher shall teach five (5) periods and supervise students during passing time between classes. However, teachers shall not be required to supervise students during passing time between classes prior to their lunch or preparation period, but shall nonetheless address inappropriate student behavior they may observe as needed. All class periods at the high schools shall be at least fifty-five (55) minutes long, with the exception of one (1) period which shall have a ten (10) minute period attached to it. Alternative schedules may be developed by the administration as long as they meet State mandated hours of instruction. The Union will be consulted in advance concerning proposed alternative schedules. When another assignment or educational responsibility which is equivalent to a class is assigned, the teacher will be relieved of one (1) of the five (5) class assignments. Yearbook, Newspaper, Drama Classes – In senior high schools sponsoring a school paper, a yearbook or a school play, the teachers involved shall not, to the extent reasonably possible, have more than five (5) classes, one of which shall be called Journalism (Y–yearbook or N–newspaper) or Drama.
Class Scheduling. Each teacher of the bargaining unit shall receive, at least monthly, reports on the progress that is/has been made regarding registration of students for the ensuing school year. Such monthly reports shall start no later than March of each year. The administration will cooperate with and encourage each member who, at his/her option, is interested in participating and helping with the recruitment process.
