Seniority Defined Seniority is defined as the total length of service in the bargaining unit as an employee, regardless of occupational change. Seniority shall be used as one of the factors in determining preference or priority for promotion, transfers, demotions, terminations and layoff caused by force reductions and recall. Seniority shall operate on a bargaining unit wide basis.
Seniority Definition Seniority is the Layoff Service Date which is the date the employee began state service (except as a temporary appointee) as adjusted for break(s)-in-service. (See Letter of Agreement 70.00-09-179 in Appendix A).
Key Definitions As used herein, the following terms shall have the following respective meanings:
City of Melbourne Definition For the purposes of determining Site Allowance in accordance with this Agreement, the boundaries of the “City of Melbourne” are defined as follows: Commencing at the point where Citylink (Tullamarine Freeway) intersects Racecourse Road, proceed east along Racecourse Road, Xxxxxxx Avenue, Macarthur Road Cemetery Road West, Cemetery Road East and Princes Street to Xxxxxxxxx Street. Then south on Xxxxxxxxx Street to Victoria Parade. In Victoria Parade, proceed east to Punt Road, then south along Punt Road to the St Kilda Junction. From the St Kilda Junction proceed along Fitzroy Street to Beaconsfield Parade, and then north-west along Beaconsfield Parade, Beach Street and The Boulevarde and following the waterline to Lorimer Street, and then east along Lorimer Street as far as Citylink (Western Link). Follow Citylink north to Racecourse Road to complete the boundary. The City of Melbourne zone will also include the area bounded by Xxxxxxxxx Street, Victoria Parade’ Xxxxxx Street, and Alexandra Parade. Where one boundary of a project fronts at least one of the above streets, then such project is deemed to be within the City of Melbourne. Project Definition The known characteristics of the Project and sub-projects shall be described in general terms which will provide the participants a basic understanding of the Project and sub- projects.
Statutory Definitions Statutory terms defined in the Code and as set forth in applicable law shall have the same meaning in this Contract.
Grievance Definition A grievance is an allegation by an employee or a group of employees that there has been a violation, misapplication, or misinterpretation of this Agreement, which occurred during the term of this Agreement. The term “grievant” as used in this Article includes the term “grievants.”
DPA Definitions The definition of terms used in this DPA is found in Exhibit “C”. In the event of a conflict, definitions used in this DPA shall prevail over terms used in any other writing, including, but not limited to the Service Agreement, Terms of Service, Privacy Policies etc.
FTE Definition Effective September 1, 2017, part-time teacher FTE will be determined by the ratio of the teacher’s actual annual instructional time to the teacher instructional time of a full-time assignment in the teacher’s school. This FTE will be used to calculate the prorated portion of a teacher’s assignable time.
Seniority Date Employees shall acquire seniority upon completion of the probationary period as defined in Article XIII and upon acquiring seniority, the seniority date shall relate back to the first date of continuous service in the bargaining unit. If more than one employee commences work on the same date, lot shall determine seniority ranking for such employees. A District-Wide seniority list will be provided for the exclusive representative no later than November 1 of each year.
