Christmas Vacation. Where a teacher accesses a period of PPL at half pay which is wholly within one calendar year (as defined in sub-paragraph (e) below), that employee will be paid a sum for the Christmas vacation calculated in accordance with the following formula: L P = W X S - A Where: P - is the total amount paid to the employee for the Christmas vacation; L - is the number of weeks actually worked plus the number of weeks of PPL; W - is the number of weeks the teacher would have worked if they had not accessed PPL; S - is the total amount which would have been paid for the calendar year if the employee were not accessing PPL at half pay; and A - is the total amount paid to the teacher in that calendar year prior to the Christmas vacation.

Christmas Vacation. 9.2.2.1 A Christmas vacation shall be scheduled for regular employees for all working days inclusive of the time frame December 25 to January 1. This vacation shall be part of the annual vacation defined in 9.2.1, unless the employee has been assigned duties as per Article 5.3.1 during those days.

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take five (5) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal years following the date in which they complete fourteen (14) years of service. Such leave shall be earned at the rate of two and one-twelfth (2 1/12) days for each completed calendar month of service.

  • Banked Vacation Once every five years an employee may bank one full year's vacation to be taken in conjunction with the next year's vacation. For the purposes of this clause, all vacation in the second year must be taken concurrently.

  • Christmas Break The break between Christmas and New Year’s shall be accountable time for all faculty and shall not require attendance on campus. In areas of the University that must, by the nature of their work, operate on a more or less continuous basis, such as the Libraries, Admissions or Counselling, the administrator responsible on consultation collectively with all available regular and non-regular type 2 members in division, shall recommend to the employer suitable levels of operation to be maintained during this break.

  • ANNUAL LEAVE (VACATION) A.   • Vacation/Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.

  • Annual Vacation Auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of four percent (4%) of their regular earnings. After one thousand (1,000) days worked, auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of six percent (6%) of their regular earnings.

  • Vacation During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the most favorable plans, policies, programs and practices of the Company and its affiliated companies as in effect for the Executive at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as in effect generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.

  • Sick Leave While on Vacation An employee who while on vacation is incapacitated for one (1) or more days due to personal illness or injury may charge such days to accrued sick leave. In such event, the employee promptly shall notify his department, and upon return to duty shall substantiate the need for, and use of, sick leave.
