Common use of CHRISTMAS BONUS Clause in Contracts

CHRISTMAS BONUS. Employees with a year of continuous service as at December shall receive a bonus of one (1) week's pay, Effective October employeeswho work less than one (1) year continuous service will be paid on a pro rata basis as described in this Clause. Employees absent on payments or Long Term Disability as of October will not be so effected while absence continues. With nine (9) months service as of that date three-quarters of one (1) week's pay; with six (6)months service as of that date one-half(%)of one (1) week's pay; and with three (3) months service as of that date one-quarter of one (1) week's pay. Effective employees who work less than one (1) year continuous service because of a claim will be paid on a pro rata basis as described below: With less than nine (9) months service as of that date -three-quarters of one (1) week's pay; with less than six (6) months service as date of one (1) week's pay; with less than three (3) months service as of that date one-quarter of one (1) week's Bonuses shall be paid on the pay day nearest December by separate cheque.
