Choice of Vacation. Insofar as choice of vacation period lies with the employee, Departmental Seniority shall determine the order of choice. Seniority of Employees Serving in the Defense of the United States In accordance with federal law, all regular employees who are serving in the defense of the United States, except those hired to fill a military vacancy, shall retain all seniority and shall continue to accrue seniority until expiration of the period prescribed by applicable federal law as the period during which the employee must apply for return to active employment by Company. Any such employee who, if qualified, makes application to return to active employment within such prescribed period, shall be restored to employment as provided by law and shall not be discharged except for cause during the period in which such discharge is prohibited by applicable federal law. Any such employee required to leave his job with the Company as the result of conscription of labor under federal law or regulations shall be considered as serving in the defense of the United States and shall be entitled to all the benefits provided by this Section. Any employee whose classification has changed as a result of an employee entering upon a leave of absence for service in the armed forces of the United States, including the Merchant Marine, shall, wherever possible, upon the return to employment of the latter, be restored to his previous job if such job is in existence at the time.
Choice of Vacation. Employees shall, as far as possible, be given choice of vacation, in order of seniority. The times at which vacations shall be taken shall be fixed by the Company. The third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh week of vacation shall be taken during the months of September to June inclusive, or at the convenience of the Company. The Company agrees to allow employees two (2) weeks of vacation, from the last week of June to and including the first week of September, in any process where it can be done. In processes where there are restrictions, they will allow the maximum. The Company agrees for the duration of this Collective Agreement, to allow employees with twenty-five (25) or more years of service to schedule three (3) weeks of vacation entitlement during the months of May, June, July and August. These three (3) weeks may be taken consecutively or individually.
Choice of Vacation dates shall be based on seniority but shall be finally determined by the Employer having due regard for the proper operation of the Nursing Home.
Choice of Vacation. (A) Choice of vacation shall be granted based upon a member's seniority from date of appointment to the fire department. The members on each group will be placed on the list by seniority, said list shall be published through a general order. A list for the selection of vacations shall be posted in all stations upon completion of the annual bid. All vacation selection shall be complete by January 31. Any member who fails to make a selection in a timely manner shall be passed over and will select vacation after all other members have selected.
Choice of Vacation. Each department shall establish a vacation seniority list. Employees shall be listed in order of bargaining unit seniority. In January, or in January and June, employees in each department may bid for vacation to be taken in the calendar year. Unless vacation is denied in a particular period for operational need, the request of the employee at the top of the vacation seniority preference list shall be approved upon request of the employee. Such approval shall not be withheld unreasonably. Each employee will be permitted to exercise the right of seniority only once annually. If approved, vacation requests made at other times shall be taken on a first-come-first-served basis and may not be bumped by a senior employee.
Choice of Vacation. 6.7 The Employer will provide to the Union and post it in a common place, a copy of the active seniority list, of full-time and part-time Employees at least every ninety (90) days. There shall be two separate seniority lists consisting of full-time Employees and part-time Employees for each group listing their start dates. The Employer will provide to the Union and post in a common place, copies of the active seniority lists at least every ninety (90) days. In the event that a part-time Employee obtains a full-time position, then that Employee will start seniority at the bottom of the full-time seniority list. If a full-time Employee transfers to a part-time position their seniority on the part-time seniority list will be amended to reflect their start date.
Choice of Vacation. As per collective ag reement, with the understanding that the employee taking vacation during the vacation period which includes Sunday to Saturday inclusive as part of that vacation has priority over seniority. Powerhouse mechanics are covered under Article 10 unless they are relieving Stationary Engineers, during which time they will be covered under Letter of Agreement #8. The parties may make changes to the 1 2-hr master schedule by mutual agreement. Letter of Agreement #9 - Shifts Structure This will confirm the agreement between both parties on the definition of shift structure. We have three shifts:
