Child Development. Include parents in program planning and provide them with opportunities to expand their knowledge and understanding of child development, observation, and assessment. Programs must obtain direct guidance from a mental health or child development professional on how to use the screening results to address identified needs. Multiple sources of information on all aspects of each child’s development and behavior, including input from family members, teachers, and other relevant staff who are familiar with the child’s typical behavior should e used in this process. Screening Children are required to have screenings completed within 45 days of enrollment into the KEHS- CCP partnerships Program. Screening for health, developmental, sensory, and behavioral concerns must occur in collaboration with each child’s parent, KEHS-CC Partners must perform or obtain linguistically and age appropriate screening procedures to identify concerns regarding a child’s developmental, sensory (visual and auditory), behavioral, motor, language, social cognitive, perceptual, and emotional skills. To the Greatest extend possible, these screening procedures must be sensitive to the child’s cultural background. KEHS has selected and prefers the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) as the screening tool for KEHS-CC Partnerships.

Child Development a. The District shall provide adequate supplies onsite to support healthy hygiene behaviors. These items will include soap, tissues and hand sanitizers with at least sixty (60) percent ethyl alcohol for staff and those children who can safely use hand sanitizer.
