Child. A biological, adopted, or xxxxxx child, stepchild, legal xxxx, conservatee or a child who is under eighteen (18) years of age for whom an employee stands in loco parentis or for whom the employee is the guardian or conservator, or an adult dependent child of the employee.

Child. A person under 18 years of age, or a person 18 years of age or older who is incapable of self-care because of a mental or physical disability. An employee's child is one for whom the employee has actual day-to-day responsibility for care and includes a biological, adopted, xxxxxx, or step-child; a legal xxxx; the child of a domestic partner; or a child of a person standing in loco parentis (in place of a parent). A child is "incapable of self-care" if he/she requires active assistance or supervision to provide daily self-care in 3 or more of the activities of daily living or instrumental activities of daily living—such as, caring for, grooming and hygiene, bathing, dressing and eating, cooking, cleaning, shopping, taking public transportation, paying bills, maintaining a residence, using telephones and directories, etc.
Child. This is an enrollee's (a) natural or legally adopted child (effective from the date of the adoption or the date placed for adoption, whichever is earlier); (b) child for whom the enrollee or the enrollee's spouse is the legal guardian (c) a child covered under a valid qualified medical child support order (as the term is defined under Section 609 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and its implementing regulations) which is enforceable against an enrollee*; or
