Chiefs. These are bartenders who have proven themselves responsible enough to run the bar for a whole evening on their own. These bartenders will receive an extensive training and review before being allow to assume their duties as a Chief. Chiefs are the head bartenders or managers of the Bar during their shifts. Whilst on duty they are in charge of the Bar, the cash register, the bartenders, the stock, and everybody’s safety and well-being (both bartenders and guests). Chiefs will receive a shirt with their name on it, and will on average have about two shifts per schedule of two weeks. Chiefs are part of the Chief Group that collectively runs the Bar in conjunction with BarCo. This means that chiefs decide on important Bar matters during Chief Meetings and are supposed to behave responsibly whenever they are present in the Bar, even off-duty. In addition to bearing responsibility, Chiefs may and are expected to participate at recurring Chief events, such as Bartenders’ Weekend, Chief Days, Chief Trainings, and Chief Meetings. The Chief group is represented to BarCo by the Chief Chief. It is not possible for a UCSA Board member to be a Chief. Bartenders
Chiefs. When classifying Chief positions in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Medical Imaging Technology, Podiatry, Health Information Management, Medical Photography/Illustration, Medical Library, Music Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Orthoptics, and Prosthetics and Orthotics, a Chief position which is classified two grades or more below that of an allied Chief (that is either in the therapy stream or the radiation related stream) in the employ of the same Employer, shall be reclassified to the next available Chief grade.
Chiefs. The appointment of a Chief of a Medical or Dental clinical department now or hereafter established, shall be made by the Hospital upon the recommendation of a search committee established for that purpose by the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital. Each search committee will include: • Xxxx of the Faculty of Dentistry or Medicine, as appropriate, or her/his respective representative; • Chair of the relevant University department (where applicable); and • such other persons as the Hospital deems appropriate. A Chief shall be appointed by the Board of the Hospital for one (1) five-year term to commence on the termination date of the previous Chief or as soon thereafter as practicable. Prior to the reappointment of a Chief who has served in that capacity for one (1) five-year term, there shall be a major performance review, by a committee established by the Hospital’s President and Chief Executive Officer, with representation from the Xxxx of Medicine, or delegate and the appropriate Department Chair or Xxxx of Dentistry. Prior to the reappointment of a Chief who has served in that capacity for two (2) consecutive five- year terms, there shall be a formal open search to which the existing Chief may apply. The search will be conducted by a committee appointed on the terms and conditions set out above. In extraordinary circumstances, after two (2) consecutive five-year terms, the incumbent may be given consideration for an additional appointment. Thus, the search committee may recommend to the Hospital’s President and Chief Executive Officer that the incumbent be reappointed without a more extensive search process. In such cases, the search committee will be required by the Hospital’s President and Chief Executive Officer to document the reasons for this recommendation. The Hospital’s President and Chief Executive Officer will then decide whether to accept the recommendation or to ask the search committee to conduct a broader search with the understanding that the incumbent may be a candidate if he/she so wishes. Notwithstanding the above, in the case of a very small department (generally understood to be departments having five (5) or fewer physicians), it may be impractical to appoint a new Chief based on a ten-year rotation policy. Hence, in such departments, the Hospital, in consultation with the University, may waive the turnover policy. Chiefs. Platoon Chiefs shall be next in rank to the Deputy Chief. They shall have command of the Platoons, to which they are attached and shall be responsible for the management, efficiency and discipline of their respective Platoons.

Hours of work for regular full-time and seasonal full-time Engineering Technicians, Soil Technicians, Survey Crew Chiefs, Project Inspectors, and Junior Project Inspectors shall be scheduled so that: Between the calendar months of November through to April inclusive, employees work thirty-five hours Monday to Friday inclusive and seven consecutive hours per day, exclusive of a paid meal period. Between the calendar months of May through to October inclusive, employees work forty hours Monday to Friday inclusive and eight consecutive hours per day, exclusive of a paid meal period.
