Chief of Party. (COP) The COP is responsible for overall leadership of the project, including technical, administrative, operational, and logistical management of project activities. The COP must be a highly qualified development professional with a demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage challenging projects. This project operates in a highly nuanced and sensitive environment. The position requires an individual with the following qualifications: ● Master’s degree/professional certification in a public financial management related field (economics, accounting, finance, business administration) and relevant experience in a public financial management related field. ● Demonstrated experience working in planning and managing highly complex public financial management related projects in developing countries, with preference given to Middle East countries. ● COP candidates should have experience in successfully implementing public financial management activities that match the size and complexity of this activity as outlined in section C. ● Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team on projects of a similar scale (financially, staff size, and activities). ● Demonstrated ability to create, manage and sustain productive working relationships with counterparts/stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. ● Strong writing and oral presentation skills. The COP will be the principal liaison for the contract with USAID, will be responsible for conforming contract activities to the USAID/Jordan Mission strategy, and will ensure that all reporting requirements are met fully and in a timely manner. The COP will serve as the contract representative in public and private meetings in Jordan, and will be required to meet with leaders and representatives of the public and private sectors to promote fiscal reform activities.
