Common use of Changes in Applicable Law Clause in Contracts

Changes in Applicable Law. 7.5.1 To the extent that a change in Applicable Law enacted after the Guaranteed Maximum Price for an affected Phase is agreed upon affects to a material extent XXXX’x time or cost of performing the Work for the affected Construction Phase, XXXX shall give Director written notice within ninety-one (91) Days of the effective date of such a change in Applicable Law, setting forth the details of the change in Applicable Law and XXXX 's good faith determination of its impact on XXXX'x performance obligations under the Contract Documents. The Director will investigate such change in Applicable Law and, if the Director determines that it causes an increase or decrease in XXXX’x cost of, or time required for, performance of the Work for the affected Construction Phase and that the notice was given timely, City and XXXX shall enter into a Change Order in accordance with the provisions of Article 7 herein.
