Change in Work Schedule. It is agreed that the Employer will give the employee three (3) days notice before any changes in work schedule.

Shift Change for Custodial Staff As vacancies become available on different shifts within the same college campus or within Continuing Education, current unit members who have not been disciplined or counseled within the last ninety (90) days shall be given the opportunity to be considered to fill the vacancy. If more than one unit member wishes to be considered to fill the vacancy, the most senior unit member, as determined by District contract hire date, shall be selected to fill the position. A unit member shall be temporarily exempt from such change if the said unit member is enrolled in a course in an institution of higher or continuing education and the course hours conflict with the proposed hours of employment. The unit member shall be immediately assigned to the new work schedule upon completion of or withdrawal from the course in which he/she is enrolled at the time of the notification of the change in hours. A unit member who claims a bona fide hardship that cannot be resolved to accommodate the proposed schedule shall be immediately assigned to the new work schedule upon resolution of the hardship circumstances, or thirty (30) working days from the date of the proposed schedule change, whichever comes first. Change in Work Schedule. 24.01 If an employees’ regularly scheduled shift needs to be changed by the Umbrella, then five (5) working days’ notice must be given to the employee. If five (5) working days’ notice is not given, the employee has the right to refuse the change. If necessary, overtime rates will apply. This Article may be waived if mutually agreeable between both parties.

When the Company changes an employee's work schedule and if the employee is required to work on the rest days of the work schedule which he had commenced and from which he was changed, he shall be paid overtime rates for those days. When the Employer desires to change the regular work schedule of an employee(s), the following shall apply: The Employer shall give the affected employee at least twenty-one (21) consecutive calendar days (inclusive of weekends and holidays) written notice if reassignment involves a shift change of an hour or over and seven (7) consecutive days if less than an hour, except in the case of documented emergencies involving the protection of the property of the employer or involving the health and safety of those persons whose care and/or custody have been entrusted to the University. Where not all employees sharing a job title shall be given a new schedule, volunteers in the same job title shall be sought for the new work schedule. Should no appropriately classified unit member volunteer for placement on the new work schedule, unit employees shall be assigned to the new schedule by reverse seniority within the given job classification. Regardless of seniority, no person shall be required to switch shift schedules more than once every six months under this subsection. Should there be a documented emergency necessitating less notice or an immediate change to a schedule, upon resolution of the emergency, volunteers shall be sought as above. Following the written notice, the parties may mutually agree to shorten the twenty-one (21) days.
Change in Work Schedule. A. Employees in the Law Enforcement Unit shall be given a notice of at least four (4) calendar days of a change in work schedule. Such a four (4) day notice of change in work schedule will not be required when an unforeseen emergency exists or when a fellow employee is absent due to illness or injury, and such leave was not requested four (4) days prior to absence. If the Sheriff’s Department is unable to give a four (4) calendar day notice of change in schedule, the employees affected by the change shall be entitled to overtime compensation for work performed other than their originally scheduled work week during the four (4) calendar day notice period. It is understood that the language in this item is not intended to change, in any way, the present policies used for sick leave, alteration of work hours to cover such leave, or compensation for such work.
Change in Work Schedule. The EMPLOYER may, if it so desires, institute a four (4) day, ten (10) hour day work week. In such event, all overtime will be over ten (10) hours in a day and forty (40) hours in a week. The EMPLOYER agrees to call a special conference with the UNION prior to instituting a four (4) day, ten (10) hour week.
