Change in Technology. I. In the event Grantee makes any changes in the Cable System and related equipment and facilities or in Grantee’s signal delivery technology, which directly or indirectly affects the signal quality or transmission of Access Programing, Grantee will, at Grantee’s sole expense take necessary technical steps or provide necessary equipment at its facilities to ensure that the capabilities of Access Providers or Access Programmers are not diminished, or adversely affected by such change. Grantor or its Designated Access providers will be responsible for acquisition of necessary equipment at their respective facilities.

Change in Technology. In the event Grantee makes any change in the Cable System and related equipment and Facilities or in Grantee's signal delivery technology, which directly or indirectly affects the signal quality or transmission of Access services or programming, Grantee shall at its own expense take necessary technical steps or provide necessary technical assistance, including the acquisition of all necessary equipment, and full training of City’s Access personnel to ensure that the capabilities of Access services are not diminished or adversely affected by such change. If the City implements a new video delivery technology that is currently offered and can be accommodated on the Grantee’s local Cable System then the same provisions above shall apply. If the City implements a new video delivery technology that is not currently offered on and/or that cannot be accommodated by the Grantee’s local Cable System, then the City shall be responsible for acquiring all necessary equipment, facilities, technical assistance, and training to deliver the signal to the Grantee’s headend for distribution to subscribers.
Change in Technology. In the event Grantee makes any change in the Cable System and related equipment and Access Resources or in Grantee's Access Channel Signal delivery technology, which directly or indirectly substantially affect the Signal quality or transmission of Access Programming, Grantee shall at its own expense take necessary technical steps or provide necessary technical assistance, including the acquisition of all necessary equipment, to ensure that the capabilities of Designated Access Providers or Access Programmers are not diminished or adversely affected by such change. In no case, shall the Signal quality or transmission of Access Programming diminish compared to the quality being achieved prior to the change in technology, provided that this requirement shall not prohibit Grantee from implementing new technologies also utilized for commercial channels carried on its Cable System. Technical quality shall continue to meet all applicable standards contained in Section 5.

In the event Operator makes any change in the Cable System and related equipment and Facilities or in Operator’s signal delivery technology which directly or indirectly affects the signal quality or transmission of Access services or programming, Operator shall at its own expense take necessary technical steps or provide necessary technical assistance, including the acquisition of all necessary equipment and full training of City’s Access personnel and the personnel of the Designated Access Providers to ensure that the capabilities of Access services are not diminished or adversely affected by such change. If the City implements a new video delivery technology that is currently offered and can be accommodated on the Operator’s local Cable System, then the same provisions above shall apply. If the City implements a new video delivery technology that is not currently offered on and/or that cannot be accommodated by the Operator’s local Cable System, then the City shall be responsible for acquiring all necessary equipment, facilities, technical assistance, and training to deliver the signal to the Demarcation Point for distribution to subscribers.
Change in Technology. The Parties recognize that technology may change, rendering obsolete the use of a DS3 (whether for actual capacity transmission or protection) on the WilTel Network as a measurement basis for the Vyvx Percentage as well as other Agreement provisions using DS3's. In the event advances in technology do make the use of DS3's inappropriate or obsolete, WilTel or Vyvx may propose a method of measuring relative bandwidth capacity as a substitute for DS3's and request the other's consent to use such substitute measurement which consent will not be unreasonably withheld.

Change in Technology. In the event Grantee makes any change in the System and related equipment and facilities or in Grantee's signal delivery technology, which directly or indirectly affects the signal quality or transmission of Grantor specific Access programming, Grantee shall at its own expense take necessary technical steps or provide necessary technical assistance, including the acquisition of all necessary equipment, and full training of Grantor specific Access personnel to ensure that the capabilities of Access channels are not diminished or adversely affected by such change. For example, this provision shall apply if Basic Service on the Cable System is converted from an analog to a digital format, such that the Access Channels must also be converted to digital in order to be received by Subscribers.

Change in Technology. The board will notify teachers if there is an update on technology changes or any other changes on usage of the Internet/Intranet that impacts the teacher’s working conditions.
Change in Technology. In the event Grantee makes any change in the Cable System and related equipment and Facilities or in its signal delivery technology, which requires NWSCCC to obtain new equipment in order to be compatible with such change for purposes of transport and delivery of the Local Origination Channel, Grantee shall, at its own expense and free of charge to Grantor or its designated entities, purchase such equipment as may be necessary to facilitate the cablecasting of the Local Origination Channel in accordance with the requirements of this Franchise.
