Certification Bonus. Music therapists, school social workers, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, teachers of speech and language impaired, special education teachers, and special education teacher consultants (EMI, TMI, LD, POHI, HI and VI) may receive an annual bonus in an amount to be determined by the District and at the discretion of the District. Bargaining unit members receiving a bonus pursuant to this provision shall be required to accept an assignment at a school designated by the District.

Certification Bonus. Bargaining Unit employees in the SHARE union, who currently have or obtain certification granted as a result of an exam by a recognized technical/professional organization, which is not required as a qualification for hire, shall be eligible for a one-time bonus of $500.00. Any application for such certification bonus must be directly applicable to the current job duties of the employee. Newly hired employees will not be eligible for this bonus until the completion of their probationary period (3 months). See list of eligible job titles and their approved certifications. Procedure: Employee must obtain proof of certification (attach a legible copy with this form) and obtain his/her Manager’s signature. The Manager will forward the signed document to the Compensation Department to confirm the Employee’s eligibility (fax # 000-000-0000). If approved, the document will be signed and forwarded to Payroll for processing. Certification Bonus. (c) Full-time and part-time staff that have successfully completed their probationary period may be paid a certification allowance of one thousand ($1,000.00) per year (five hundred dollars [$500.00] paid on December 1 and June 1), upon certification/recertification in a clinical specialty. The specialty certification must be germane to the staff member’s assigned area of practice and be on the list set forth in Appendix F. To qualify for the allowance, the staff member must provide proof of successful completion of certification requirements. An allowance shall be limited to certification in one area. In order to receive payment, appropriate documentation of certification and/or recertification must be submitted to the Department Director or designee.
Certification Bonus. (a) Full-time and part-time staff nurses who hold a relevant and approved certification (as currently exists on the Magnet recognized list of specialty Certifications) will be paid a certification allowance of $1,500 per year, paid once per year, paid to each employee on the schedule set forth in the Certification Policy. This increase in the certification bonus will be effective on July 1, 2017, the same date as the changes in the RN Excellence Guidelines provided for in Section 25.06
Certification Bonus. The Hospital will pay a one-time cash bonus of five hundred dollars ($500) for successful completion of a nationally recognized non-required certification relevant to the department per the SHS Certification Bonus policy. This opportunity is only available for a certification that is not listed as a basic job requirement for the employee’s position. If future job requirements change and an additional certification is required, the employer will pay the full amount for existing employees to obtain the certification.
