Common use of Certification and Recertification Clause in Contracts

Certification and Recertification. If an employee attends education or upgrading courses related to employment at the request of the Employer, the Employer shall cover fees and costs incurred and the employee shall suffer no loss of pay. Employees who are required to be certified in their jobs shall be reimbursed for the fees paid for exams and fees paid for recertification, to maintain their status, and will be granted leave of absence without loss of pay to take the exam. If taking a course is a pre-condition to take the exam and/or to be recertified, the employee will be reimbursed for the course fees and will be granted leave of absence without loss of pay to take the course.
