Casual Time. If they work four (4) consecutive weeks at thirty-seven (37) hours per week, they will be entitled to paid casual time if the casual time was taken during the aforementioned four (4) consecutive week period. Any eligible casual time will be paid in the first pay following the four (4) consecutive week period.
Casual Time. Employees shall be entitled to three (3) paid casual days per calendar year, provided the casual day is prearranged with the employee’s supervisor; and the casual day may be taken in increments of not less than one (1) hour, and may not be allowed for the first one half (½) hour of the working day. The casual day must be taken within the calendar year and is not accumulative. Newly hired employees are entitled to prorated casual leave during the first calendar year of employment; for example, an employee hired on May 1 (i.e., one third through the calendar year) is entitled to two (2) casual days through December 31 of that calendar year.
Casual Time. At the direction of the Chief or patrol commander of a particular shift, a police officer in patrol may be entitled to a minimum of one (1) hour and a maximum of twelve (12) hours as time off during any working day with a total accumulation not to exceed sixty (60) hours in any fiscal year, without loss of pay and without the requirement to make up such time; provided, however, that such leave cannot cause overtime. At the direction of the Chief or patrol commander of a particular shift, administrative staff may be entitled to a minimum of one (1) hour and a maximum of twelve (12) hours as time off during any working day with a total accumulation not to exceed twenty-four (24) hours in any fiscal year, without loss of pay and without the requirement to make up such time; provided, however, that such leave cannot cause overtime.
