Casual Teachers. (a) A casual teacher shall be employed on an intermittent basis to relieve a teacher absent from duty or to meet a short term staffing need.
Casual Teachers. (i) The salary payable to a Casual Teacher shall be the annual salary paid to a Teacher on Step 8Band 2 on the salary table in Table 1A – Salaries of Part B - Monetary Rates divided by 204 in the case of a daily payment and 408 in the case of a half-day payment, plus 5%. These rates are set out in Part B, Table 3 – Casual Rates of Part B - Monetary Rates.
Casual Teachers. (a) The amount payable per day to a casual teacher shall be the appropriate annual salary for that teacher specified in subclause 14.1 divided by 204. The rate of pay includes any pro rata payment for annual holidays to which the teacher is entitled in accordance with the NES along with any applicable loading.
Casual Teachers. Where the School has given notice of termination to a teacher, the teacher must be allowed up to one day's time off pro-rata without loss of pay for the purpose of seeking other employment. The time off is to be taken at times that are convenient to the teacher after consultation with the School. Payment on termination of employment The School will pay an employee no later than seven days after the day on which employment is terminated, for wages and other entitlements Notice of Termination by Teacher In order to terminate his or her employment a teacher shall give the School at least seven (7) term weeks' notice in writing. The School may reduce or waive the required period of notice in extenuating circumstances provided that, where practical, the teacher has given seven (7) term weeks' notice of intent (in writing) to seek alternative employment. The School will not unreasonably refuse to reduce or waive the notice. Notice of intent given by a teacher does not become binding as notice to terminate until such notice to terminate is received by the School in writing. Where a teacher does not give the appropriate notice and there is no agreement to reduce or waive the notice period, the School may withhold payment of up to two (2) weeks salary and allowances which has been authorised by the employee and is reasonable in the circumstances. Statement of Service Upon the termination of employment of a teacher (other than a casual teacher) the School will provide upon the request of the teacher, a statement of service setting out the commencement and cessation dates of employment. At a teacher’s request the School must provide to the teacher (other than a casual teacher) whose employment has been terminated a written statement specifying:
Casual Teachers. N1.5 For the purposes of payment, there are two categories of casual teacher – Casual teacher rate 1 and Casual teacher rate 2. Daily rates are detailed at Annex A6 of this Agreement.

Casual Teachers. (i) A casual teacher shall be paid at the rate listed in Table 2, Appendix B. The rate is calculated by dividing the appropriate annual salary for full-time service by the number of school days in the year in the case of a daily payment, or by two times that number in the case of a half daily payment, plus an additional 3.658% loading. School days include the term days that teachers are expected to be at the school on days when students are not expected to attend.
