Common use of Casual Employee Clause in Contracts

Casual Employee. A casual employee is an individual employed on an irregular and non-re-occurring or non-scheduled basis or to relieve for sick leave or leave of absence. Casual employees will not be utilized to the extent that they restrict the regular hours of or prevent the hiring of either full-time or part-time employees.

Casual Employee. A casual employee is an individual employed shall refer to positions which require work on an irregular and nonas-re-occurring needed basis, normally without regular scheduled daily or non-scheduled basis or to relieve for sick leave or leave of absence. Casual employees will not be utilized to the extent that they restrict the regular hours of or prevent the hiring of either full-time or part-time employeesless.

Casual employees will not be utilized to the extent that they restrict the regular hours of work from time to time (e.g. sick relief, vacation relief, pregnancy leave relief, etc.), but does not normally have regularly scheduled hours of work. However, it is also understood that a casual employee cannot unreasonable or prevent the hiring of either full-time or part-time employeesconsistently refuse to work shifts.

Casual Employee. A casual employee is an individual employed one who works on an irregular or “as needed” basis for an indefinite period of time. A casual employee must be available to work six (6) shifts per month. Failure to work six (6) shifts per month when requested to do so will result in termination of employment and non-re-occurring or non-scheduled basis or to relieve for sick leave or leave loss of absenceseniority. Casual employees will not be utilized to The Hospital at its discretion may waive this provision of the extent that they restrict the regular hours of or prevent the hiring of either full-time or part-time employeesclause.
