Casual Drivers. Any changes to the seniority list will be discussed at a Union management meeting prior to being posted. Seniority lists will be posted monthly on all union bulletin boards and a copy provided to the Union Chairperson/Vice-Chairperson and Union management committee representatives at Union management meetings. Within ten (10) working days of posting the seniority list, and provided there has been no objection raised by the Union or the employees, the list shall be deemed accurate until the next posting. Drivers who post to the other region or drivers who on the May sign-up sheet indicate they wish to transfer to the other region will have their seniority transferred.
Casual Drivers. A casual driver will be classed as a driver who is not available for either a regular A.M. and P.M. school run, based on a regular school year. A separate seniority list for casual drivers will be maintained and accumulated seniority will apply to that list only. The company will first allocate work to regular drivers, keeping in mind the least financial impact to the company prior to using casuals. A Casual wishing to become a regular driver will go to the bottom of the regular driver’s seniority list.
Casual Drivers. ‌ Casual drivers shall be paid the daily rate assigned for the regular route. In addition to the daily rate, when a casual driver is required to pick up the bus from another driver’s home and uses his personal vehicle to travel from his home, that driver shall be paid mileage in accordance with the Board approved mileage rate. Mileage is to be confirmed by the Manager of Transportation and Fleet Services or designate prior to payment. In the event the casual driver has the bus located at his home, that driver shall be paid and hourly rate in accordance with Schedule “B” entitled “Rates of CompensationBus Drivers” for driving time to the start of the route and from the end of the route to home. Hourly rate is to be confirmed by the Manager of Transportation and Fleet Services or designate prior to payment.
