Cash Payment for Unused Vacation. 1. Annual vacation leave may be accumulated to a total not to exceed two times the maximum number of days earned annually as of the end of the first pay period of the next calendar year. Excess vacation time is forfeited if not taken within ninety (90) calendar days from the last day of the calendar year in which the excess was accrued.

Cash Payment for Unused Vacation. An employee who terminates employment with the employer for reasons not reflecting discredit on the employee shall be entitled upon the date of such termination to cash compensation for unused vacation leave, assuming that the employee has worked the qualifying period. The amount of the compensation shall be calculated and paid the following pay period. However, if the employee transfers to any other position under the jurisdiction of the State of Montana, there shall be no cash compensation paid for unused vacation leave. In such a transfer the receiving employer assumes the liability for the accrued vacation credits transferred with the employee. (2-18-617, M.C.A.)

  • Payment for Unused Sick Leave a. An employee with less than ten (10) years of continuous University service, as defined herein, who separates from the University shall not be paid for any unused sick leave.
