Career Teachers. A comprehensive evaluation and the portfolio will be completed by the end of the school year. Teachers may select either Portfolio Option 1 or Option 2. Portfolios: Option 1: The portfolio may be turned in by April 1. Comprehensive evaluation and conference will be completed by the end of the school year.

Career Teachers. The evaluating administrator shall conduct a minimum of two individual classroom observations of not less than thirty (3) minutes each. The evaluating administrator will provide a maximum window of time of five (5)s instructional days in which each observation shall occur. If the observation does not occur within the specified time, the evaluating administrator must confer with the teacher and reschedule, observing the same notice time frame. Observations shall not be conducted on the day immediately following any extended break in the instructional calendar (whether scheduled or unexpected). Observation conferences must be held after each of the two observations and timely feedback shall be given to the Member following each of the observations. The evaluating administrator may suggest a third observation and conference prior to completing the written evaluation in order to provide additional time for improvement, but this must be approved by the Member. The Member also has the right to request a third observation and conference. The Member and evaluating administrator shall review and sign a Member observation form for each observation. A copy of each observation form must be given to the Member and kept in the Member’s site personnel file.
Career Teachers. Teachers in their fifth or subsequent years of employment in the district shall be evaluated at least once every three years. All phases of the process shall be completed by February 15.
Career Teachers. 5.1 In determining which career teacher(s) will be nonreemployed when one or more of a number of identical positions is eliminated, the following criteria, in this order, shall govern:

  • Teachers An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution, which is recognised by the competent authority in that other Contracting State, visits that other Contracting State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other Contracting State on his remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • Student Teachers 8.05.01.A No teacher will be required to accept the responsibility of supervising student teachers; it is believed that professionally interested teachers will volunteer to do so from time to time.

  • New Teachers No new teachers shall be hired for a vacancy for which a teacher on unrequested leave is certified.

  • Retired Teachers The BOARD may employ and assign retired teachers as day-to-day substi- tutes for no more than one hundred school days during the school year and shall pay such teachers the rate paid to day-to-day substitutes. The BOARD shall compensate such retired teachers in accor- dance with Appendix A-1L. Such retired teachers shall not be eligible for any other benefits provided to bargaining unit employees under this Agreement. The BOARD agrees that the employment and as- signment of retired teachers shall not result in the displacement of any appointed or assigned teacher.

  • Orientation and In-Service Program The Hospital recognizes the need for a Hospital Orientation Program of such duration as it may deem appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Hospital and the nurses involved.

  • Mentor Teachers A. A Mentor Teacher shall be defined as a Master Teacher as identified in section 1526 of the School Code and shall perform the duties of a Master Teacher as specified in the code.

  • Newly Hired Teachers Newly hired Teachers shall be paid in Category A1 until such time as they provide proof of a different category classification.

  • Career Ladder Effective July 1, 2014, TALC and the District agreed to the 11 implementation of a Career Ladder for the advancement of instructional staff on the 12 Performance Salary Schedule. Elements of the Career Ladder are outlined and posted on 13 the District website and include detailed descriptions of Career Ladder levels and the 14 requirements for movement. All instructional staff hired on or after January 8, 2018 will 15 be placed on the Apprentice level of the Career Ladder.

  • Tenured Teachers Tenured teachers will receive formal evaluation conferences at least by the end of their fifth year in Harford County and at the minimum rate of once every five (5) years thereafter. All observations of a classroom performance shall be conducted openly.

  • EMPLOYMENT OF RETIRED TEACHERS A. For purposes of salary schedule placement, a retired Teacher will be granted a maximum of ten (10) years’ service credit and their educational attainment. A retired Teacher may not advance beyond Level 10 on the salary schedule.
