Capacity Building and Empowerment of Market Intermediaries. Train suppliers and intermediate aggregators To institutionalize incentives for farmers to produce high quality and safe maize and soybeans, the grain aggregators will be the most important actors to ensure that contaminant mitigation is effectively managed along the entire supply chain. In year 2, the project will continue to work with the seven existing aggregators who supply grain to Nestlé and received training during year 1. An additional 10 new aggregators will be identified as well and receive project support. The value chain mapping exercise was completed in year 1. This report confirmed that middlemen are important actors in the maize and soybean value chains. They play a prominent and important role in the market linkage between the farmers and buyers of commodities. Different classes of middlemen exist, however the project value chain analysis indicates that none of them have any knowledge about the targeted contaminants. Planned warehouse owners and middlemen training topics: -Detection and mitigation of contaminants -How to maintain good grain quality in a warehouse -General principles of grain quality management -Post-harvest handling of grains at the farmers’ leveland collection centers During the value chain mapping exercise, a total of 55 commercial warehouses were identified in the project area. These facilities are essentially stores located in the local markets or close to the markets where commissioned agents and wholesalers store their grains for future sale. Through interviews with the facility operators, it was established that none of them were aware of the targeted contaminants and had no education about what a standard warehouse and proper management to mitigate contaminants should be. These stores are usually not well maintained, with poor ventilation, an unhygienic environment, grains are usually stored on the floor, and relative humidity is not checked. Force Toxin is the main fumigant used in fumigating the stores, which can increase aluminum residue. Most warehouse owners are not aware of best management and design practices for high quality warehouses. During year 2, the project will work with both of these groups to increase the quality of grains in the local markets. Both will receive training on how contaminants can lead to rejection of grain sales to aggregators. Capacity Building and Empowerment of Market Intermediaries. In the third year, the project will continue to work with the six Nestlé aggregators, 15 non-Nestlé aggregators, and 83 commercial warehouse owners on how to maintain good quality grains at collection centers and warehouses as well as on establishing physical standards for grading of grains. Most of these actors are now aware of targeted contaminants and have knowledge about what a standard warehouse should include and proper management practices to mitigate contaminants. Some of the actors still have challenges with poor ventilation, unhygienic environments, poor grain storage practices, and unacceptable relative humidity levels and humidity monitoring. The project will continue with weekly visits to all these groups to see that they adopt the practices that they were trained on and these issues are addressed. A monthly activity plan, which will include topics like warehouse management and quality-based purchase standards, will be jointly established with each group and each month each group will be evaluated against the plan. The activity will also work with aggregators to train their agronomists to cascade the knowledge they receive to farmers, to test grains for contaminants prior to sending to Nestlé for pre-shipment and sharing the results, to promote the investment in color sorting machines, and to map out the various communities that can supply them with high quality grains.

  • Local Control Center, Metering and Telemetry The NTO shall operate, pursuant to ISO Tariffs, ISO Procedures, Reliability Rules and all other applicable reliability rules, standards and criteria on a twenty-four (24) hour basis, a suitable local control center(s) with all equipment and facilities reasonably required for the ISO to exercise ISO Operational Control over NTO Transmission Facilities Under ISO Operational Control, and for the NTO to fulfill its responsibilities under this Agreement. Operation of the NYS Power System is a cooperative effort coordinated by the ISO control center in conjunction with local control centers and will require the exchange of all reasonably necessary information. The NTO shall provide the ISO with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (“SCADA”) information on facilities listed in Appendices A-1 and A-2 herein as well as on generation and merchant transmission resources interconnected to the NTO’s transmission facilities pursuant to the ISO OATT. The NTO shall provide metering data for its transmission facilities to the ISO, unless other parties are authorized by the appropriate regulatory authority to provide metering data. The NTO shall collect and submit to the ISO billing quality metering data and any other information for its transmission facilities required by the ISO for billing purposes. The NTO shall provide to the ISO the telemetry and other operating data from generation and merchant transmission resources interconnected to its transmission facilities that the ISO requires for the operation of the NYS Power System. The NTO will establish and maintain a strict code of conduct to prevent such information from reaching any unauthorized person or entity.

  • Technical and Organizational Measures The following sections define SAP’s current technical and organizational measures. SAP may change these at any time without notice so long as it maintains a comparable or better level of security. Individual measures may be replaced by new measures that serve the same purpose without diminishing the security level protecting Personal Data.

  • Teaching Staff Assigned to More Than One Building Each Educator who is assigned to more than one building will be evaluated by the appropriate administrator where the individual is assigned most of the time.   • Technical and Organisational Measures (1) Before the commencement of processing, the Supplier shall document the execution of the necessary Technical and Organisational Measures, set out in advance of the awarding of the Order or Contract, specifically with regard to the detailed execution of the contract, and shall present these documented measures to the Client for inspection. Upon acceptance by the Client, the documented measures become the foundation of the contract. Insofar as the inspection/audit by the Client shows the need for amendments, such amendments shall be implemented by mutual agreement.

  • Appropriate Technical and Organizational Measures SAP has implemented and will apply the technical and organizational measures set forth in Appendix 2. Customer has reviewed such measures and agrees that as to the Cloud Service selected by Customer in the Order Form the measures are appropriate taking into account the state of the art, the costs of implementation, nature, scope, context and purposes of the processing of Personal Data.

  • Procurement of Small Works Works estimated to cost less than $100,000 equivalent per contract, up to an aggregate amount not to exceed $1,150,000 equivalent, may be procured under lump-sum, fixed-price contracts awarded on the basis of quotations obtained from three (3) qualified domestic contractors in response to a written invitation. The invitation shall include a detailed description of the works, including basic specifications, the required completion date, a basic form of agreement acceptable to the Association, and relevant drawings, where applicable. The award shall be made to the contractor who offers the lowest price quotation for the required work, and who has the experience and resources to complete the contract successfully.   • DEVELOPMENT OR ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS/ STATEMENTS OF WORK Firms and/or individuals that assisted in the development or drafting of the specifications, requirements, statements of work, or solicitation documents contained herein are excluded from competing for this solicitation.
