Cancellation of Shifts. Relief/casual shifts will be paid unless cancelled with at least forty-eight (48) hours notice or if the replaced worker returns unexpectedly.
Cancellation of Shifts. Where the Hospital has determined that there is a need to cancel staff on a particular shift, it will be done in accordance with Article 10. Where the cancelation is after the start of the shift the following method will apply: In applying the steps below off unit nurses shall be cancelled first.

Where less than four (4) hours notice is given to a part time employee that their shift is cancelled, time and one half (1 ½) of the employees regular straight time hourly rate will be paid for all hours on the employee’s next shift worked. Such changes will not constitute a layoff.
