Common use of Cancellation of Securities Paid, etc Clause in Contracts

Cancellation of Securities Paid, etc. All Securities and coupons surrendered for the purpose of payment, exchange or registration of transfer, if surrendered to the Company or any Paying Agent or any Security registrar, shall be delivered to the Trustee and promptly cancelled by the Trustee, or, if surrendered to the Trustee, promptly shall be cancelled by it; and no Securities or coupons shall be issued in lieu thereof except as expressly permitted by any of the provisions of this Indenture. The Trustee may destroy cancelled Securities or coupons and will deliver a certificate of such destruction of the Company.
