Cancellation by Hotel. In the event that Hotel terminates this Agreement other than for Cause, Hotel will be responsible for payment of reasonable additional expenses incurred by Group as a result of moving the event to an alternate hotel as set forth below: Increased room rate at the alternate hotel. Increased meeting room rental Increased food and beverage expenses incurred at the alternate hotel for similar menu items for the same events that would have been held at the Hotel. Reasonable costs incurred for preparing and reprinting materials already printed listing the Hotel as the location of the event, or for preparing and printing materials or sending email notifications of the change in location. Other expenses or losses that Group can demonstrate were reasonably related to the termination by Hotel, including attorney fees. Group will provide to the Hotel reasonable documentation of increased expenses listed above that are incurred. Hotel will provide the reimbursement payment within 30 days after the parties mutually agree on the amount to be reimbursed. In the event that the parties cannot agree on the amount of reimbursement, they agree to submit their dispute to arbitration pursuant to the Dispute Resolution provision of this contract for the event.

Cancellation by Hotel. In the event that Hotel terminates this Agreement other than for cause, Hotel will be responsible for payment of approved reasonable additional documented expenses incurred by Group as a result of moving the Event to an alternate hotel as set forth below: Increased room rate at the alternate hotel. Increased meeting room rental Provided that final menu prices or maximum menu prices have been agreed upon between Hotel and Group for the Event as described in this Agreement under Section 8.4, increased food and beverage expenses incurred at the alternate hotel for similar menu items for the same events that would have been held at the terminating Hotel. Reasonable costs incurred for preparing and reprinting materials already printed listing the terminating Hotel as the location of the event, or for preparing and printing materials or sending email notifications of the change in location. Other expenses or losses that Group can demonstrate were reasonably related to the termination by Hotel and that would not have been incurred by Group if Hotel had not cancelled the Event. Group will provide to the Hotel reasonable documentation of increased expenses listed above that are incurred by Group. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary as contained herein, Group will be required to take reasonable steps to reduce any damages, including but not limited to using equal or better alternate locations for the cancelled Event identified as willing and able to host the Event on similar terms if possible. Hotel will provide the reimbursement payment within thirty (30) days after the parties mutually agree on the amount to be reimbursed if Hotel canceled Group for any reason other than cause. In the event that the parties cannot agree on the amount of reimbursement, they agree to submit their dispute to arbitration pursuant to the dispute resolution provision of this Agreement. The exercise by the terminating party of the option to terminate is agreed by the parties to constitute the exercise of a contractual option and not a default and in no event shall the terminating party be liable for more than the option price stated above. The terminating party shall make payment due as a result of termination of this Agreement under the terms of this provision to the other party within thirty (30) days after written notice. Cancellation by Hotel. If the Hotel terminates this Agreement other than due to a cause listed in Section 15.2, the Hotel shall pay all reasonable additional expenses incurred by IEEE as a result of moving the Event to another hotel, including: Increased room rates Increased meeting room rental fees Increased food and beverage fees incurred for similar menu items Reasonable costs incurred for redoing the printed materials for the Event and notifying Event participants of the changes Other direct expenses or losses incurred by the Group with respect to moving the Event, including reasonable attorney fees. The Group will provide to the Hotel all reasonable documentation requested by the Hotel regarding the expenses prior to making any payments. Payment of all expenses submitted by IEEE shall be due thirty (30) days after the Hotel receives the documentation from IEEE. In the event that the parties cannot agree on the amount of reimbursement, they shall submit their dispute to arbitration as provided in this Agreement.
Cancellation by Hotel. 7.1. Hotel may cancel the booking if (a) the booking may prejudice the reputation of the Hotel; or (b) Hotel becomes aware of any deterioration in the Client’s financial situation such that Hotel reasonably considers Client may not be in a position to fulfil its obligation under the terms of the Event Agreement; or (c) in accordance with Section 4.3(b) above.

Insofar as it was agreed in writing that the customer can cancel the contract at no cost within a certain time period, the hotel is entitled for its part to cancel the contract during this time period if inquiries from other customers regarding the contractually reserved rooms exist and the customer, upon inquiry thereof by the hotel does not waive his right of cancellation. This will apply accordingly if an option is granted, when other enquiries have been received and the Customer is not, on enquiry by the Hotel, prepared to make a definite booking within a time limit set by the Hotel. Definite booking in this case means that a hotel booking contract will arise on this date and the originally agreed right to cancel free of charge will cease to apply.
Cancellation by Hotel. If the Hotel cancels or terminates this Agreement except pursuant to force majeure, or does not, or is unable to, provide the property and facilities at the address as specified in this Agreement for the purposes of providing the sleeping rooms, meeting and function space, and related accommodations as specified in this Agreement, or attempts to or actually make any changes, reductions, or substitutions to any terms or conditions in this Agreement without the prior written consent of ASSOCIATION ACRONYM, Hotel shall be responsible and financially liable for any lost revenues and/or increased costs and any related costs and expenses incurred by ASSOCIATION ACRONYM or their Meeting attendees as a result of cancellation. Increased costs include but are not limited to the costs of having to select another hotel including increased costs of sleeping rooms and related accommodations; costs associated with meeting rooms and function space; cost associated with attendee transportation to/from convention center, materials, and related supplies and services (including set-up and labor charges); increased costs (including return of registration fees); rescheduling and arrangement costs, such as general marketing, public relations, program printing and attendee notification; and any other related additional costs and expense as determined by ASSOCIATION ACRONYM.

Cancellation by Hotel. In the event that the Hotel cancels this Agreement for reasons other than a breach by Group or as otherwise expressly provided for elsewhere in this Agreement, then Group will be entitled to recover from Hotel those reasonable actual damages as allowed by law. Group will be required to take reasonable steps to reduce any damages, including but not limited to using alternate locations for the cancelled Event identified as willing and able to host the Event on similar terms if possible.
Cancellation by Hotel. If the Hotel cancels or terminates this Agreement except pursuant to force majeure, or does not, or is unable to, provide the property and Hotel facilities at the address noted on page #1 for the purposes of providing the sleeping rooms, meeting and function space, and related accommodations as specified in this Agreement, or attempts to or actually makes any changes, reductions, or substitutions to any terms or conditions in this Agreement without the prior written consent of ASSOCIATION ACRONYM, then the Hotel shall be responsible and financially liable for any lost revenues and/or increased costs and any related costs and expenses incurred by ASSOCIATION ACRONYM or their Meeting attendees as a result of cancellation or movement of any of the terms agreed upon herein. Increased costs include but are not limited to the costs of having to select another hotel including increased costs of sleeping rooms and related accommodations; costs associated with meeting rooms and function space; cost associated with attendee transportation to/from convention center, materials, and related supplies and services (including set-up and labor charges); increased costs (including return of registration fees); rescheduling and arrangement costs, such as general marketing, public relations, program printing, and attendee notification; and any other related additional and reasonable costs and expense as determined by ASSOCIATION ACRONYM. It is further agreed the Hotel will not cancel on ASSOCIATION ACRONYM to book another group within the dates of November 7-14, 2022.
