Effective August 26, 2013, the regular hours of work for all cafeteria workers covered by this agreement shall vary from four (4) to eight (8) consecutive hours falling between 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday. The work scheduled shall be in accordance with the adopted school calendar (not including holidays as provided in Article V).

Cafeteria workers shall work the days on which lunch is served plus at least four (4) hours per worker on the day before and such portion of the last day and/or day after student attendance as the Cafeteria Manager deems necessary. If lunch is not being served at one attendance center and help is needed at another attendance center, the work shall be made available to regular Cafeteria Staff requesting such work before utilizing substitutes.
B. Hours and shifts shall be determined by the employer.
C. A 15 minute break shall be granted at a convenient time to Cafeteria Employees working more than three (3) hours but less than five hours per day. A 30 minute paid lunch period shall be granted to Cafeteria Employees working at least five (5) hours but less than seven (7) hours per day. A 30 minute paid lunch plus a 15 minute break shall be granted to Cafeteria Employees working seven (7) or more hours per day.
D. When the Head Cook is absent, the First Cook will substitute and receive Head Cook differential. The employee substituting as First Cook will receive First Cook differential.
E. Cafeteria assignments resulting in additional work hours will be offered to qualified Cafeteria Employees on a rotating basis in order of seniority. Once an employee performs or declines an available additional assignment, their name shall be moved to the bottom of the list. Employees who are not able to complete additional assignments as tendered by the Administration must turn down the assignment; assignments will not be changed to accommodate the schedule of the employee. Nothing in this section shall prevent the Board from hiring a substitute employee.
Cafeteria Workers a. Cafeteria workers shall work those days when school children are in attendance over four hours.
b. All cafeteria workers shall be notified two weeks in advance of a permanent building change.
c. Full time cafeteria workers shall work 5 hours per day inclusive of paid lunch.
d. A 10 minute break shall be allowed for each 4 consecutive hours of work.
e. All cafeteria employees as of September 1990 who were employed by Canton Union School District #66 shall remain employees of District #66 until their retirement, resignation, dismissal for cause, or reduction in force.
f. Any vacancy created by the abandonment of a currently filled cafeteria position in the bargaining unit shall be posted and current cafeteria bargaining unit members or current cafeteria employees employed by District #66, will be allowed to apply for such positions and shall be filled by a qualified current employee applicant.
g. If no current employed cafeteria bargaining unit members apply, then the vacated unfilled position may be filled by a subcontracted employee.
h. A district employee may apply for a food service company vacancy if the vacant position is equal to or less hours than the district employee's position. If the food service company vacancy is filled by the district employee (who will remain a district employee), the food service company will fill the vacated district position (which will remain a food service company position).
Cafeteria Workers. A. All cafeteria workers shall be scheduled at their respective locations by the cafeteria manager.
B. All cafeteria workers who work four (4) or more hours per day will be entitled to a paid ten (10) minute break period daily scheduled by the cafeteria manager.
C. Cafeteria workers scheduled to work six (6) hours or more shall be given a thirty
Cafeteria Workers. Section 1 Cafeteria employees who perform extra work, such as banquets, shall receive time and one-half times the regular hourly rate of pay for such hours of work. Cafeteria employees receive a paid thirty (30) minute lunch period. Cafeteria employees also receive lunch food and a beverage during the lunch period.
Section 2 Employees covered by this agreement who do not hold the title of “Head Cook” and are asked to act as such shall receive a stipend of not less than $.25 cents per hour for each hour the employee performs these duties.
Section 3 Cafeteria employees shall receive a uniform allowance of $200.00 each year of the Agreement. Such allowance shall be prorated for all newly hired employees according to the following schedules: Month Emnloved Allowance July-September $200.00 October $180.00 November $160.00 December $140.00 January $120.00 February $100.00 March $ 80.00 April $ 60.00 May $ 40.00 June $ 20.00
Cafeteria Workers. 1. Stipend for Cafeteria Worker doing cashiering during lunch hours will get an extra $183.00 per year at the Intermediate, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Middle and ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Schools.
2. Cafeteria workers will receive three (3) uniforms per year per employee.
