BULLYING POLICY. Anti-Bullying Policy Maryvale Preparatory School supports the Bullying Prevention, Intervention and Response Policy as set forth by the Archdiocese of Baltimore Department of Catholic Schools. The Archdiocese of Baltimore’s “Stop Bullying Now” campaign site is rich with resources for providing schools, families, teens, children and youth with skills and tools to address issues involving bullying, cyberbullying, harassment and intimidation. As used in this policy, "bullying, harassment, or intimidation" means intentional conduct, including verbal, physical, or written conduct or an intentional electronic communication that creates a hostile educational environment by substantially interfering with a student's educational benefits, opportunities, or performance, or with a student's physical or psychological well-being and is: • motivated by an actual or a perceived personal characteristic including race, national origin, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, ancestry, physical attributes, socioeconomic status, familial status, or physical or mental ability or disability; • sexual in nature (including descriptions or depictions of a student with the student’s intimate parts exposed or while engaged in an act of sexual contact), or, • threatening or seriously intimidating; and, • occurs on school property, at a school activity or event, or on a school bus; or, • substantially disrupts the orderly operation of a school. Bullying may take the form of, but is not limited to, physical or verbal assaults, intimidation or non-verbal threats, social exclusion or isolation or the use of technology or writing to convey embarrassing, derogatory, threatening or intimidating messages. Bullying can include social exclusion as well as harassing or intimidating behavior in person or via phone messages and social media, including texting, online websites and other electronic media. Cyberbullying is bullying through the use of technology or electronic devices such as cell phones, computers, iPads or the internet. It includes, but is not limited to email, instant messages, text messages and Internet postings, whether on Facebook, Twitter or other social media platforms, any webpage, blog or other electronic media. Harassment includes severe or persistent, repeated annoyances, threats or demands. Intimidation includes the attempt to coerce or inhibit by threats or by fear tactics. BULLYING POLICY. The County of San Mateo considers workplace bullying unacceptable and will not tolerate it under any circumstances. BULLYING POLICY. The State of Indiana has ruled that schools must address bullying. Bullying is a conscious, willful, repeated and deliberately hostile act intended to inflict pain, discomfort, embarrassment, and/or induce fear through violence, the threat of violence or humiliation. Bullying can be any gesture, written or verbal expression, or physical act that a reasonable person should know will hurt another person, damage another person’s property, place another student in reasonable fear of harm to the student’s person or damage to the student’s property. BULLYING POLICY. The academy believes that all students and members of staff have the right to be happy, comfortable and free from harassment, harmful or hurtful behaviour from others. BULLYING POLICY. Xxxxxx Figure Skating Club is committed to providing a skating environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and adheres to the Skate Canada policy on Bullying. Each individual has the right to participate in a respectful environment free from bullying. Bullying is any behavior that demeans, embarrasses, humiliates, or verbally abuses a person, and is known —or would be expected to be known— to be unwelcome. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to the following behaviors: • Condescending, paternalistic or patronizing behavior which undermines self-esteem, diminishes performance, or adversely affects the skaters environment; • Written or verbal abuse or threats, including swearing; • Unwelcome remarks, jokes, taunts; • Unwelcome comments, innuendo or taunting, or questions about a person’s looks, body, attire, age, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or sex life; • Unwelcome physical contact; • Intimidating conduct or gestures; • Vandalism of personal property. The improper behavior does not have to be made with the intent to harass in order to be in violation of this policy. Everyone connected with VFSC has a responsibility to play a part in ensuring that our club’s skating environment is respectful and free from bullying. This means not engaging in, allowing, condoning, or ignoring behavior which is contrary to this policy. In addition, anyone who believes that someone has experienced or is experiencing harassment is encouraged to notify a representative of VFSC’s leadership (Coaches or member of Executive.)
BULLYING POLICY. Williston Boom Fastpitch (WBF) is committed to providing players a fun, positive, and secure environment in which to learn and enjoy the game of softball. We do not tolerate bullying at any practice, game or other WBF sanctioned event. Anyone who knows that bullying is taking place is expected to report the incident. Players and parents should be assured that they will be supported when bullying is reported. Definition of Bullying - Bullying is defined as conduct, gestures or comments which are insulting, intimidating, humiliating, hurtful, malicious, degrading or otherwise offensive to a player, group of players and/or teammates, and which create a hostile or intimidating environment, or which negatively affects a player’s physical and/or emotional well-being. Bullying is any written, verbal or physical act, or any electronic communication, whether it is a single incident or a series of incidents that results in intentional pain and distress to the victim. Signs and Symptoms - A child may indicate he or she is being bullied through various signs and symptoms. While some children are prone to report bullying to their parents, coaches or adults, others will not, due to fear, intimidation or other factors. Coaches and parents should be aware of possible signs indicating that bullying may be taking place. Procedures for Parents, Coaches, and the WBF Board Parents or players should report bullying incidents to their coach. If the problem persists or is severe in nature, reach out to a Williston Boom Fastpitch Board member or the Williston Parks and Recreation Executive Director. If necessary and appropriate, police may be consulted. In all cases of reported bullying, parents of the player who was bullied shall be informed immediately and may be asked to meet with the respective team coach and/or WBF board member to discuss the incident. In all cases, strict confidentiality shall be maintained. The negative behavior must be investigated and the bullying stopped immediately. The parents of any player who is reported to be bullying will be contacted immediately by the respective team coach, WBF board member or WPRD Executive Director and asked to meet to discuss the incident to help the bully or bullies change their behavior.

The Employer will ensure that victims of harassment are able to register complaints without reprisal. Harassment is a form of discrimination and includes personal harassment.
