Bullet Proof Vests. All bargaining unit members will be provided with a bullet proof vest, as may be required, at the cost of the City. A member’s bullet proof vest will be replaced by the City every five (5) years or at the appropriate recommendation of the manufacturer.
Bullet Proof Vests. A joint Union/Management Committee shall review available bullet-proof vests and shall select one (1) National Institute of Justice (NIJ) approved vest for use by employees to be provided by one exclusive vendor. Each employee in the Police Deputy classification and each employee on the promotional roster who obtains a new bullet- proof vest from the established vendor shall first submit his/her request, in writing, to the department for review. Once eligibility is confirmed, the employee may order his/her vest from the designated vendor. The vendor, in turn, will submit the invoice directly to the department for payment. The department shall pay the vendor one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of the approved vest. Each employee may receive no more than one (1) department paid vest according to the time period for replacement required by the manufacturer. Police Deputies required by the Sheriff to wear a bullet-proof vest for the major portion of any calendar year shall be credited with eight (8) hours vacation time per year, effective the first paycheck in December of that year.
Bullet Proof Vests. The City shall provide to all employees a bulletproof vest with a minimum standard of Threat Level 3A with trauma plate. Vest shall be provided to all new employees prior to the end of their first week as officers. One free fitting per year will be provided by the City. The City will check and replace liners as needed.
Bullet Proof Vests. A bullet proof vest shall be provided to an individual who is employed as a Deputy Sheriff. Replacement of said vests shall be made in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Employees who are provided bullet proof vests may be required to wear such vests as directed by the Sheriff/designee.
Bullet Proof Vests. The Employer shall provide bullet proof vests for deputies. All employees issued a bullet proof vest shall wear said vest in accordance with the Miami County Sheriff Standard Operating Procedures.
Bullet Proof Vests. The City shall equip each Officer with body armor. Each Officer will be issued body armor upon entry into the La Marque Police Department. Each Officer’s issued body armor will be replaced according to the manufacturer’s advertised lifespan of the body armor.
Bullet Proof Vests. Enforcement Officers shall not be mobilized for special police action which entails high personal risk unless they are provided bullet-proof vests.
Bullet Proof Vests. CMSD will provide bullet proof vests which will be replaced as needed.
Bullet Proof Vests. The District shall supply, at its expense, bullet proof vests for all Cleveland Metropolitan School District Mobile Patrol Force and members of the Gang Unit.
Bullet Proof Vests. At the member’s request, any member may purchase their own bulletproof vest, at a level no less than what the city provides. After the member purchases their vest they shall be reimbursed, with a receipt, by the City equivalent to the amount normally paid by the City for issued vests. However, in order to receive reimbursement, the member must provide the City with the manufactures name, vest’s serial number, threat level, and the manufactures replacement schedule.
