BREAKS AND HOLIDAYS. Academic support employees who are requested to work during semester break, holiday period or other times as determined by the official academic calendar as being a non- contractual period will be granted equivalent days off. Exception to the above are College designated holidays and Sundays which shall be compensated at one and one-half (1½) times equivalent days off. The schedule for the compensatory days will be requested by the employee and submitted to his/her immediate supervisor for approval. Academic support employees who are traditionally assigned to work during semester break and spring recess may request approval from the appropriate vice president to use equivalent compensatory time off prior to actually working the extra days, provided the employee assumes responsibility for reimbursing the College for any compensatory time off not actually earned.

Full-time academic support faculty who are traditionally assigned to work during semester break and spring recess may request approval from the immediate supervisor to use equivalent compensatory time off prior to actually working the extra days, provided the full-time faculty member assumes responsibility for reimbursing the College for any compensatory time off not actually earned.
BREAKS AND HOLIDAYS. All employees who would typically be scheduled to work on the following breaks and holidays shall receive their normally scheduled hours (at their base rate of pay, plus any applicable wage enhancements), and shall not be required to work, on the following holidays and breaks: Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. Memorial Day Juneteenth Independence Day *Summer Break- One Week; scheduled between the Fourth of July and Labor Day. NWC will announce the specific week when releasing the calendar for the upcoming year. Labor Day Indigenous People’s Day Thanksgiving Day The Day after Thanksgiving *Winter Break, Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day, which shall include the Christmas holiday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the Friday prior or Monday after will be observed as the holiday under this Article. The foregoing rule shall not apply to week-long breaks (marked with an asterisk).
BREAKS AND HOLIDAYS. The Licensed Area shall be open to the public during any school break that exceeds four days (such as Christmas, spring break, and summer break) and on national holiday three-day weekends in which the holiday does not fall on a school day (such as Memorial Day and Labor Day).

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAYS 5.1 An Employer may require employees to perform work in excess of their regularly assigned hours. All time worked by an employee before and after his regular shift on Monday to Friday inclusive, except as provided in Article 4 and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of double time.   • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY 5.3.1 All hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of one and one-half times the straight time rate. All hours worked by an employee in excess of ten (10) hours per shift and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double the straight time rate.

  • Vacation and Holidays Executive will receive four weeks of paid vacation each year in addition to all holidays observed by the Company and its subsidiaries. Executive may carry over, in the aggregate, up to four weeks of unused vacation to a subsequent year. Any unused vacation time in excess of four weeks will not accumulate or carry over from one calendar year to the next. Each calendar year, Executive shall take not less than one (1) week vacation.

  • Weekend Holidays 9.3.1. A full-time employee who works a Monday through Friday schedule and the calendar holiday falls on a Saturday, the employee shall be allowed the preceding day off. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the employee shall be allowed the following day off. If the employee works the day preceding or following such a holiday, he/she shall be given another workday off with pay or shall receive payment for that day at the regular rate.

  • PAID HOLIDAYS 12.01 (a) A full-time employee who otherwise qualifies hereunder shall receive the following paid holidays: New Year's Day (Jan. 1st) Labour Day 3rd Monday in February Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day (Nov.11th) Good Friday Christmas Day (Dec. 25th) Victoria Day Boxing Day (Dec. 26th) Canada Day (July 1st) Civic Holiday

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
