Bomb Squad Clause Examples

The "Bomb Squad" clause is designed to address and resolve problematic or potentially harmful provisions within a contract. It typically allows one or both parties to identify and remove specific clauses that could cause legal or practical issues, such as unenforceable terms or provisions that trigger unintended consequences. By providing a mechanism to neutralize these "dangerous" clauses, the Bomb Squad clause helps ensure the overall contract remains valid and functional, thereby reducing risk and preventing disputes over problematic terms.
Bomb Squad. Employees responding as members of the department on the bomb squad shall receive a five percent (5%) differential from their regular pay on an hour-for-hour basis for time spent on team callouts.
Bomb Squad. Members who are members of the Bomb Squad shall receive double their regular straight time rate for that time spent (from call to completion) in dealing with explosives. Said double time shall be the total compensation for such time spent, whether on regular duty time or when called from off duty. This premium is compensable for retirement purposes.
Bomb Squad. For those employees assigned by the Sheriff as regular members of the interagency Bomb Squad, the County shall pay the equivalent of that amount paid to other members of the squad by the Tahoe-Xxxxxxx Fire Department, or an additional $150 per month above base salary, whichever is greater. Such pay shall continue for the duration of the assignment
Bomb Squad. Police Officers assigned to the Bomb Squad shall receive a pay increase of three percent (3%) as a differential for the hazardous nature of their work. This differential is limited to Bomb Squad person- nel, and the Panel’s granting of this in no way established a precedent. Individuals assigned to the bomb squad shall receive their pay differential after transferring into the squad and obtaining cer- tification as a Hazardous Device Technician and shall cease receiving the differential on transfer or separation from the squad. There shall be no options to these conditions. The establishing of a pay differential for the Bomb Squad in no way alters or limits the Police Department‘s ability to transfer employees into or out of the Bomb Squad.
Bomb Squad. Bomb disposal personnel in the Sheriff’s Department shall be compensated an additional ten (10) salary ranges above base salary for the period of time such personnel are certified by the Sheriff to be serving as the bomb disposal team. Special duty pay for bomb disposal duty shall be limited to four (4) positions. Employees assigned to the Bomb Squad may be assigned to a Field Training Officer assignment at the same time, and are eligible to receive compensation for both assignments concurrently.
