Board of Police Commissioners. 115. The Parties recognize that effective civilian and community oversight of SPD is essential to rebuilding trust between SPD and the communities it serves and ensuring that SPD’s enforcement activities reflect community values and are consistent with the Constitution and federal, state, and local laws. 116. In order for the Board of Police Commissioners to carry out this important function, the City shall develop a process for any Springfield resident interested in serving on the Board of Police Commissioners to submit letters of interest to the Mayor’s office setting forth a brief explanation of why they are interested and a brief summary of their background.
Board of Police Commissioners. The parties recognize that the Village of Algonquin Board of Police Commissioners has certain statutory authority over employees covered by this Agreement, including but not limited to the right to make, alter and enforce rules and regulations and impose disciplinary sanctions.   • Residence Community Living Standards The Residence Community Living Standards (“RCLS”) forms a part of this Agreement. It details the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of Residents as well as the residence conduct process. Each Resident is responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the terms outlined within the RCLS. The Manager and the Institution may amend the terms of the RCLS from time to time and may post the amendments in the Residence. Failure to abide by the RCLS may result in eviction from Residence and termination of this Agreement as per the violations and sanctions outlined in the RCLS, and as stated in section 8.01(d).   • Statement of Policy In accordance with the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), the City will provide family and medical care leave and military family leave for eligible employees, as defined.

  • Labour Relations Committee (a) The parties agree that the purpose of the Labour Relations Committee is to discuss, and, if possible, resolve, any matters of interest to the parties. To this end, the parties shall meet to exchange information and may hold discussions in an attempt to solve any problem related to working conditions.

  • Grievance Commissioner The Employer and Union may mutually agree in writing to invoke the Commissioner Process rather than proceed to arbitration as set out in this Collective Agreement. All cases referred to arbitration where an employee has a grievance concerning discipline will only be referred to a Grievance Commissioner if the Employer and the Union agree in writing on all the facts. The parties may also agree to group grievances before a single Grievance Commissioner. A Grievance Commissioner (where more than one, acting in rotation) will set aside such time as may be requested by the Employer and the Union to consider and determine grievances referred to them. A Grievance Commissioner shall have the same powers and be subject to the same limitations as a Board of Arbitration hereunder, save and except as expressly provided in 9.18 to 9.22 hereof.

  • Insurance Committee An Insurance Committee comprised of three (3) representatives selected by the Superintendent and three (3) representatives selected by Okeechobee County Education Association #1604 shall be established to review and make recommendations regarding the health insurance program. The Committee shall meet at least quarterly and may meet more frequently as needed. Notwithstanding the above, any anticipated changes to the hospitalization and health insurance program which would result in a program less than equivalent to the existing program shall be subject to negotiations.
