Bill Payment Service. a. Generally, the bill payment service allows you to schedule the payment of your bills from a checking account. You may pay merchants or individual payees within the United States through the Bill Payment Service. By furnishing us with the names of your payees and their addresses, you authorize us to follow the payment instructions you provide us via Online Banking. Payments may be made either electronically or by paper draft, depending upon the payee’s ability to receive electronic payments. When we receive a payment instruction from you, we will process that instruction on the day you specified in your instruction (“Payment Date”). Some payees have special processing requirements for receiving payments, and some may require that your payment be accompanied by a coupon or additional information concerning your accounts with such payee. It is your responsibility to determine each payee’s specific payment requirements. We will not be liable for any delay in processing or mis-posting by such payees where a payment fails to meet such requirements. Other financial institutions may impose their own fees and charges for transfers that you make through the Service, and you are responsible for any and all of such fees and charges. b. You may choose to schedule payments to recur in the same amount at regular weekly, depending upon bi-weekly or monthly intervals (a "recurring payment"). lf a recurring payment is chosen, the bill will be paid automatically each billing period. lf the payment is not a recurring payment, it will be a "one-time payment." One-time payments do not recur and are not made until you enter the payee and amount of the current bill and submit the payment. You may change payments that are recurring payments; however, you must allow at least three (3) business days after we receive any change to information you have given us about a payee to reflect the change in our records. When you create a new payee in the Bill Payment service, it has a temporary status until we have had sufficient time to set up the account, and for your business payees, verify information about your account. You should schedule a payment to a new payee at least ten (10) business days before any payment due date, to allow us time to set up the payee and verify information about your account with the payee’s ability . For all subsequent payments, you agree to receive electronic payments. When we receive allow at least five (5) business days between the date you schedule a payment instruction from youto be initiated and the payment due date (that is, we will process that instruction the due date shown on the day you specified your invoice or provided in your instruction (“Payment Date”agreement with the payee, not taking into account any applicable grace period). Bill Payment Service. a. Generally, the bill payment service allows The Bill Payment Service permits you to schedule the use your Internet-enabled device to direct payment of from your bills from designated Bill Pay Account to third parties you wish to pay. Your Bill Pay Account must be a checking account. Through the Bill Payment Service, you can pay bills from your Bill Pay Account to businesses and individuals. All payments you make will be deducted from the account you designate as your Bill Pay Account for the Bill Payment Service. Any payments you wish to make through this service must be payable in US Dollars to a payee located in the continental United States. We reserve the right to restrict types of payees to whom payment may be made using the Bill Payment Service from time to time. You should not use the Bill Payment Service to make payments to settle securities purchases, payment to interest bearing accounts, tax payments or court ordered payments. Payments to these payees will be your sole responsibility if delayed or improperly processed or credited. Funds must be available in your Bill Pay Account on the scheduled payment date. If the date you schedule a payment to initiate falls on a non-business day (Saturday, Sunday or Holiday), funds must be available in your Bill Pay Account the following business day (e.g. Monday). After the funds are withdrawn from your Bill Pay Account to make a payment, we may make the payment either by transferring funds electronically to the payee or by mailing the payee a check. You may pay merchants choose to schedule a payment to recur in the same amount on a regular weekly, monthly, or individual payees within semi-monthly basis. When you create a new payee in the United States Bill Payment Service, it has a temporary status until we have had sufficient time to set up the account and for your business payee to verify information about your account. You should schedule a payment to a new payee at least ten (10) business days before any payment due date, to allow us time to set up the payee and verify information about your account with the payee. For all subsequent payments, you agree to allow at least three (3) business for electronic payments and five (5) business days for check payments between the date you schedule a payment to be initiated and the payment due date (this is, the due date shown on your invoice or provided in your agreement with the payee, not taking into account any applicable grace period). If you do not, you will be responsible for all late fees, finance charges or other actions taken by the payee. If you schedule your payment and follow all instructions provided, but the payee does not receive the payment in a timely manner, we will work with the payee on your behalf to attempt to have any late fees or charges reversed. Freedom Bank is only responsible for exercising ordinary care in processing and sending payments upon your authorizations in accordance with this Agreement. We will not be liable in any way for damages you may incur as a result of the circumstances set forth in the heading LIABILITY" below or for any other circumstance beyond the control of Freedom Bank. If you direct the initiation of a Payment to occur on a day other than a Business Day, it will be initiated on the previous Business Day. When you create a new Payee in the Bill Payment service, it has a temporary status until we have had sufficient time to set up the account, and for your business Payees, verify information about your account. The Bill Payment service may provide a calendar feature that estimates the expected date of delivery of a scheduled Payment.
