X Door/lid gear – grease the top and bottom retainers contacting surfaces with the door cams X Door/lid locks or sliding bolts – greese the sliding parts X Door catches – grease the contacting surface X Drain holes – clean away loose debris X Door hinges – grease all hinges X Securing chains on lock pins – lubricate the chain X Retaining pins – lubricate the pins X Pressure wash – to remove dirt/spills X Daily CCU inspection routine before load out X Visual Inspection of CCU & Slings to DNV271 X ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE NOTES TO ACCOMPANY THE ABOVE MAINTENANCE ITEMS Item Guidance Note – Recommended Checks 1 In accordance with DNV271 requirements the CCU's and Lifting assemblies must have a visual inspection every year by a competent person. 2 Check all retaining clips and securing chains are in good condition and working correctly to secure locks and catches. 3 Check paintwork for chips, scratches, signs of corrosion - touch up as required to prevent further corrosion 4 Make sure that the CCU decals are legible and that the data plates are in place and un damaged. 5 Make sure that all door hinges are free to move and have been greased.
