Common use of BEREAVEMENT PAY Clause in Contracts

BEREAVEMENT PAY. Section 10.1 The Employer will grant up to three (3) days of leave of absence, with pay, to employees for scheduled working time lost by an employee because of death in the employee’s immediate family from the date of death through the day following the funeral. Immediate family shall consist of spouse, mother, and father, brother, sister, children, mother-in-law, father-in-law or grandparents. One (1) day leave of absence with pay shall be granted for the death of a brother-in-law or sister-in-law.
