Common use of Bereavement During Vacation Clause in Contracts

Bereavement During Vacation. An employee who is eligible for bereavement leave as outlined in this Collective Agreement while on vacation may substitute bereavement leave for the period of the entitled vacation during which the employee was absent on bereavement leave. In such an event, the employee may reschedule his/her vacation at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and his/her Supervisor.

Bereavement During Vacation. An employee who is eligible for bereavement leave as outlined in Article 17.03 of this Collective Agreement while on vacation may substitute bereavement leave for the period of the entitled vacation during which the employee was absent on bereavement leave. In such an event, the employee may reschedule his/her vacation at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and his/her Supervisorsupervisor.
