Benefits While on Leave of Absence. When an employee is absent on an approved leave of absence, the Home will continue to pay its share of the premiums for the coverage under the employee Benefit Plans, set out in Articles 20.02 and 20.03, for the balance of the month in which the leave commenced and for a period of two (2) months immediately following the commencement of the leave, provided the employee agrees to pay to the Home the employee's share of the premium costs (where required under the Collective Agreement) prior to the due date of the premium. When the leave of absence exceeds the two (2) month period following the commencement of the leave, an employee will become responsible for the full payment of the premiums. An employee may arrange with the Home to continue Benefit coverage by paying the total cost of the premiums to the Home prior to the date on which payment is due (i.e., on a monthly basis). Vision Care: The first full month following ratification (March 9, 2017), Vision care shall be increased to two hundred and seventy-five ($275.00) dollars every twenty-four (24) months, inclusive of one (1) eye examination every twenty four (24) months. Effective December 9, 2017 Vision care benefit shall increase to three hundred ($300.00) dollars every twenty-four (24) months, inclusive of one (1) eye examination every twenty four (24) months.
