Benefits Eligibility. All employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per week are eligible to participate in the health insurance benefit program offered by the Employer to a majority of its employees who are not in a bargaining unit. Employees shall be offered benefit options, in accordance with the terms of the Employer’s program, with regard to medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, long-term disability and short-term disability plans, and healthcare and dependent care spending accounts.
Benefits Eligibility. This clause applies only to employees on a full-time continuing appointment, 50% part-time continuing employees who hold six-month appointments and, with the exception of section 39.1.3, to employees on full-time term appointments which are greater than five calendar months in length. Benefits Eligibility. Members who average thirty (30) hours or more per week shall receive all health/dental insurance benefits as stated in this article. Members having a one-half time or greater contract but less than full time contract shall receive the benefits provided in this Contract on a prorated basis. Proration shall be based upon the percentage of time a member is working in relation to a full-time member (40 hours per week), e.g., if a member is assigned to teach thirty (30) hours per week, the Board shall be responsible for paying 75% of the Board’s required portion of the premium. Members having a less than half time contract shall receive no medical or dental insurance benefits provided in this Contract. Preschool and kindergarten teachers receiving full time insurance benefits shall continue to receive full time benefits. These part time teachers shall receive health insurance and dental insurance with the Board paying 85% of the monthly premiums as stated in this article.
