Common use of Benefit Entitlement Clause in Contracts

Benefit Entitlement. All casual employees who have completed 172.8 hours with the Employer may elect to enroll in the following benefit plans – medical services plan, dental plan, and extended health plan if the employee pays the full monthly premiums in advance to the Employer. An employee making such an election under this provision must enroll in each and every one of the benefit plans and shall not be entitled to except any of them. Where a casual employee subsequently elects to withdraw from the benefit plans, she must withdraw from all three plans. Casual employees failing to maintain the required payments, shall have the benefit plans terminated. Those employees who voluntarily terminate, or are terminated from the plans by the Employer, will not be entitled to re-enroll.
