Basic Loop. The Basic Loop is a 2-wire copper facility or functional equivalent which will meet industry standard specifications for Voice Frequency transmission. The Basic Loop may include load coils, bridge taps, etc., or may include carrier derived facility components (i.e. pair gain applications, loop concentrator/multiplexers). The Basic Loop will be designed within industry design parameters with a loop loss (from customer to MDF) which does not exceed 10 dB and with a noise level less than 30 dbrnC. For loaded loops, the Bridge Tap and End section will be between 3 and 12 kFt.
