Basic License. Licensee must purchase for each Device or for each Developer one BASIC License. The number of licenses required is determined by the greater of Developer using the Cryptovision Software or Devices using the Cryptovision Software. If the ratio is changing during the term of the Agreement Licensee must acquire additional BASIC licenses.
Basic License. ACM grants to the Consortium Members the non-exclusive rights to search, browse, view, and download the content in the DL. All downloading and printing by Authorized Users will be for their use only, unless approved by ACM in writing. Remote access to the DL by members of the general public is not permitted. Authorized Users may access and use the DL from the premises of the Consortium Member, or remotely via secure authentication, to download, print, and copy items from the DL for their use in connection with classroom instruction and related educational purposes, but may not redistribute or make available access to the DL for any commercial purposes.

If such information is not available the BASIC License restriction shall exclusively apply to the use of the Cryptovision Software. The above license restrictions are non-concurrent and LICENSEE may at no point in time use more licenses than it has acquired. Except as expressly set forth in this Agreement, LICENSEE may not modify, merge, embed, sell, lease, assign, distribute or transfer in any manner or form, in whole or in part, the Cryptovision Software except as otherwise required by law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, LICENSEE may make copies of the Cryptovision Software solely for archive or backup purposes or as otherwise required by law. If the Cryptovision Software was made available to LICENSEE for evaluation or testing purposes the license grant shall be non-perpetual and the license shall expire with the expiry date of the underlying evaluation agreement. LICENSEE must discontinue the use of the Cryptovision Software, return it to Cryptovision and delete all copies of it in LICENSEE’s possession. Evaluation licenses may only be used in non-productive environments.

Basic License. All license agreements will be between the requiring agency and the Vendors/Publishers. However, the Federal Government requires certain terms and conditions in their license agreements that may be in conflict with some standard commercial practices. The Library of Congress Office of General Counsel (OGC) has developed a basic license agreement that meets federal requirements and serves the needs of federal libraries while still respecting the Vendor’s interests. This sample license can be found at Section J, Attachment 1. Alternatively, if the Vendor or Publisher prefaces their licenses with the following language, most Federal customers will be able to accept commercial licenses (as modified) without additional negotiations. All of the terms and conditions set forth below are governed by the language of the following FAR clauses: FAR 52.227-19, Commercial Computer Software-- Restricted Rights; FAR 52.233-1, Disputes; FAR 52.249-2, Termination for the Convenience of the Government (Fixed-Price); FAR 52.249-8, Default (Fixed- Price Supply and Service). In the event any language in the terms and conditions of this license conflict with the governing FAR clauses or other federal law, the FAR clauses and federal law take precedence. License agreements will be reviewed, approved, signed and enforced by Customers rather than FEDLINK contracting officers. Your proposal must contain copies of all Vendor proprietary licenses for all items offered. Any inconsistencies between this BOA and the Vendor's license terms shall be resolved by order of precedence as stated in FAR 52.215-8. Licenses presented when users logon to a system that instruct the user to "Click here to accept" or otherwise interactively agree to a standard non-FEDLINK license, do not supersede the terms of this BOA and the FEDLINK-specific licenses incorporated herein.
