Base and Optional Programs. A. Effective on July 1, 1998, and for the plan year ending on June 30, 1999,the University shall offer the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Community Blue (“BCBS/PPO”) program, which shall be the base health care plan for employees represented by the Union, and the Physicians Health Care Plan (“PHP”) which shall be an optional plan. The premium cost of the BCBS/PPO program shall be borne fully by the University for full-time employees and proportionately for part-time employees (in accordance with the conditions for part-time employees set forth below). During the 1998-1999 plan year, employees may select to enroll in PHP and will receive the applicable single, two-person or family university base plan contribution toward the cost, with the difference, if any, payable by the employee through payroll deduction.
