Backup Service. Customer shall be responsible for backup and recovery of its content unless backup services are purchased through ViaWest.
Backup Service. Setup On contract commencement, Cantium will: • Install and configure software on each server and device requested by the customer. • Files and folders selected for backup will be agreed with the customer.1 • Cantium and the customer will agree an upper limit for the total amount of data to be backed up. Cantium will contact the customer should the backup reach the limit to discuss options, such as purchasing more space or ways to reduce the size of the backup. • The backup client on each device will be configured to backup between 17:00 and 06:00 Monday – Friday. • Data will be encrypted and sent to Cantium’s or third-party suppliers data centres via secure internet connection. Backup Service The provision of the backup service will include: • Backups will be scheduled to run Monday – Friday 17:00 – 06:00 • Automatic email will be sent to the customer at backup completion each day. (Please see Customer responsibilities) • Daily Backup checks Monday – Friday excluding public holidays • Mitigation to correct any failures either remotely via the software or by connecting to the customer device. • Restart any backups that have failed to run • Backups and daily checks will continue during school holidays.2 • Cantium will provide plug-ins for Capita XXXX (including FMS and Discover), Windows system state and SQL databases. These provide additional functionality to permit the safe backup of those applications without the need for them to be closed down. Data Restore and Retention Cantium will restore data at the request of the customer via the service desk in accordance with incident management targets. • Individual file and mailbox restore • Servers covered by a Cantium support contract will be collected and rebuilt complete with data restored at Cantium site before being returned to the customer site. • Servers not covered by an additional Cantium support contract will need to be rebuilt to the original specification before Cantium will then restore the data and the latest Active Directory / user information. 1 This could include Active Directory system state on Windows servers. Backup Service. Company shall provide backup service (the “Backup Service”) to Customer to the Point of Delivery. This Backup Service shall be provided from Company’s Seminole substation (the “Seminole Substation”). Customer’s Backup Service will be designed to operate functionally as shown in Figure attached hereto and made a part hereof. As long as the Electric Service is available from the Grade Lane Substation, and until Seminole Substation has 138 circuits connecting it to two different substations, Customer may not take the Electric Service the Backup Service without Company’s consent, which may be withheld in Company’s sole discretion. Ford LAP’s election to receive service the Grade Lane Substation will not alter the construction or functionality of the Backup Service.
Backup Service. This use case provides secure backup of content in the external federation network. A backup service runs in the home gateway. It cooperates with the gateway’s content manager to have access to all the content in the home network (through the unified content access) and to decide which content to back-up. It then collaborates with other federated gateways to offer data backup service for each other. o Social-aware content sharing. This use case exploits information, collected from the social networks that home users are part of, in order to combine content sharing and content caching/backup. For example, in the case of a set of pictures, content tagging done by the content owner (e.g., friends, family, colleagues) is used by the gateway to decide on which federated gateways to share/cache the photos, depending on social preference of remote users on such federated gateways. • Remote content access. This use case specifically involves unified access to the content stored in the home network from a remote location providing Internet access.
Backup Service. Content stored in the FIGARO unified content service (WP4) needs to be backed-up. In order to select which gateways to use for backup and when to perform the backups, it is important to know both network performance towards the backup gateways and the disk utilization of the candidate backup gateway. As backup is a fairly time-independent service, an extensive history of measurements enables locating the best timeframe for backup. This allows minimizing the impact of backup on regular user traffic. In addition to its own measurements, the backup service can take advantage of FIGARO’s long-term gateway and storage availability measurements from use-case 2.2. • Network Performance Metrics: Available bandwidth, (maximum) throughput o Vantage Points: HN, AL, NL o Frequency: Continuously (when backup is running), once a minute o History: last day o Data aggregation: Raw and aggregated (average, variance, median) • Network Performance Metrics: Reachability o Vantage Points: HN, AL, NL o Frequency: On-demand (when backup is running), once a minute o History: last day o Data aggregation: Raw • Gateway Status: Available storage (local and at candidate backup gateways) o Frequency: On-demand, one-shot o History: several days o Data Aggregation: raw
Backup Service. DCLUX may provide the Customer with backup services allowing the Customer to restore a part or the whole Infrastructure from copies of the Infrastructure periodically made and stored by DCLUX backup solution. (the ”Backup Service”) The copies extent, frequency and storage period shall be those selected by the Customer in their Order Form. The Customer expressly acknowledges that the copies made by DCLUX as part of the Backup Service shall be exactly identical to the Infrastructure at the time of their making. DCLUX shall therefore make no warranty either imply or express as to the integrity of the Infrastructure at the time of the backing up and as such as to the usability of the copies for any restoring purposes.
Backup Service. 1−more−thing supplies a data backup service as part of the xxxxxxx.xx service to protect the Content that is hosted or stored by the Client under the Contract. A data backup policy determines the frequency at which the Content is saved such that, under normal conditions, the Client can recover data with a loss of maximum of two (2) hours of work. The Client can restore the data at any time and may request 1−more−thing to give technical support to restore a backup as part of the present contract.
Backup Service. In the event of a non-stressed exit, the agreed premises and the relevant parts of the shared infrastructure will revert to the Service Provider. It is the expectation that the Service Recipient will set up and maintain its own corporate infrastructure. The Service Provider shall provide access to the backups it facilitated on behalf of the Service Recipient. During the interim period, the Service Provider will continue to provide the Server services for up to 1 year from the notice of termination. In the event of a stressed exit, the Service Recipient will seek to acquire the hardware and backup contract of the Service Provider in order to continue operations.
