Backup and Disaster Recovery Clause Examples
The Backup and Disaster Recovery clause outlines the responsibilities and procedures for safeguarding data and restoring operations in the event of data loss or system failure. Typically, it requires the service provider to regularly back up critical data and maintain a disaster recovery plan that enables rapid restoration of services after incidents such as hardware failures, cyberattacks, or natural disasters. This clause ensures business continuity by minimizing downtime and data loss, thereby protecting both parties from the operational and financial impacts of unexpected disruptions.
