Common use of Autonomy Clause in Contracts

Autonomy. THE CONTRACTOR shall control all of the operations and activities considered necessary for a technical, efficient and economic Exploration of the Contracted Area and for the Assessment and Exploitation of Hydrocarbons found in said Area. THE CONTRACTOR shall plan, prepare, carry out and control all activities at its own expense and exercising technical and administrative autonomy, in accordance with Colombian law and in keeping with the Good Oil Industry Practices. THE CONTRACTOR shall carry out activities directly or through subcontractors.
