Authorized Leaves of Absence. Leaves of Absence will be granted in accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Company local policy. Employees are not required to use available earned time off concurrently with authorized leaves of absence. Other leaves of absence may be granted to any employee with a minimum of ninety (90) days active service for any reason deemed satisfactory to the Company or as required by law. Where practical, a request for a leave of absence must be made in writing to one’s supervisor five (5) working days prior to the beginning of the leave.
