Employees working in more than one program are obligated to inform the Employer or designate and receive approval if they are asked to work hours that would result in overtime. The Employer and the Association of Unions recognize that the nature of the work carried out by persons in some classifications is such that it may not be possible for the employee to obtain prior authorization for the necessary overtime work. In such cases, the employee will, when possible, make every effort to obtain authorization. If this is not possible, they will use their discretion in working the overtime and the Employer will be considered to have authorized the time in advance.
