The Charter School Director shall establish and maintain an appropriate attendance accounting system to record the number of days students are actually in attendance at the Charter School and engaged in the activities required of them by the Charter School. Not less than 30 days prior to the commencement of instruction, the attendance accounting system will be submitted to the District for review. Following review and approval of the attendance accounting system by the District, the Charter School agrees that it will not be changed prior to additional review by the District. Reporting by the Charter School of average daily attendance, in accordance with the Charter Schools Act and the California Code of Regulations, shall be submitted to the District by the Charter School, according to the County Office of Education procedures. CLCS will also be responsible for preparation and submittal of the Period 1, Period 2, and Annual Attendance Reports for the Charter School. The annual audit shall include a review of actual attendance accounting records and attendance accounting practices to ensure compliance with the law.
