Attendance at Conventions. 18.11.3.1. Upon twenty-one (21) days’ notice to the appropriate college President, Federation delegates shall be released to attend State and national conventions of the AFT and/or the AFL-CIO.

Attendance at Conventions. During a contract year, up to three (3) UCPEA delegates shall be permitted three (3) days each to attend state and/or national conventions of the AFT and the AFL-CIO. Such requests shall be presented by the Union. Before being granted, requests for such leave must be approved by the first supervisory level outside the bargaining unit, as well as by the appropriate University official designated for this purpose. If granted, paid leave shall be provided.
Attendance at Conventions. During the contract year, a total of nine (9) delegate days shall be permitted the Union for attendance at State and/or national AFT and AFL-CIO conventions and/or seminars. With the permission of the supervisor and adequate notification in advance, three (3) additional days without pay may be taken.

You will attend the ITEX Annual Convention and any Regional Convention for the region where you are located. These conventions may be held at a different location each time. They include programs on sales and marketing techniques, performance specifications, advertising programs, training suggestions, and committee elections, among other things. Your attendance at each convention is strongly encouraged. You will bear all expenses of attending, including travel, lodging, meals and entertainment. For any annual convention that you do not attend, we may deliver to you and you will pay us for video cassette recordings of the activities of convention. The price for the video cassettes for each convention will be established by us from time to time but will not be less than $500.
Attendance at Conventions. Department Chairpersons shall be afforded the opportunity to attend Conventions / Workshops (subject to the prior approval of the Superintendent of Schools). Attendance shall be limited to the Tri-State area only and members shall be provided a convention opportunity on an every other year basis.

Attendance at Conventions. An employee designated to represent the Union at a convention or similar convocation may be granted a leave of absence without pay. Such a leave, including duration, is granted in the Authority’s sole discretion and prior approval by the Board is required.
